How many reptiles per month?

How many reptiles do you acquire per month, on average?

#of months since you acquired your first reptile divided by #of reptiles you currently own

I've been in the hobby for 27 months and I currently own 4 reptiles (as of next week).

27/4=6.75

I obtain a reptile, on average, about every seven months.

well i had at least one reptile since 1993-1995( forget when excatly i got her plus I don't remember al lthe ones I rescued( aquired) and found new home. but if yoult at my last 2 years I doubled my collection ( of keepers ) each year and I am currently up to 21 now if i counted ohe ones i rehomed alsd during theat time I got just about 1 a week. lucky I also limited the numbers recently or I have about 4 a week lol. I hadt oturn reptiles away due to limited room ( I need a pro breeder/s building 4000+ sq ft if i done thinks like I wanted too ) and that just to house the snakes, not counting the food,supplies, ( supplies for the food) , or even a place to put me and the computer..

well since I was 8 i've probably averaged less than one a year, but i've purchased all my current reptiles within the past year(since I graduated from college)

After years away from reptiles, I started again in Dec. I now keep 13 Balls.

More then one per month.
Example on 6/7 received a Painted turtle (scheduled for rehab and release hopefully)
on 6/12 we took in one burmese python and two ball pythons (pics and background hopefully coming soon)
They are to be rehabbed and adopted out. (hopefully)
In house we have a total of only 9 snakes, 1 turtle and 2 monitors (oh and 1 tarantula).
This changes depending on who is able to be adopted out and what room we have. I never ever want to overload myself. In the past I used to keep much higher numbers of herps in house (80+). But as of now I choose not too, do to personal reasons. But we always help in emergencies and do the best we can. Our door is open to those in need. That's the best anyone can do I figure.

I dont really have an average, Its like whenever I can afford one or stuble across one. I wish I could get more than one every few months. lol

I'm not sure, I bought four bp's in 1 1/2 months but haven't made a purchase since March of this year. I don't plan on adding anymore bp's until September or so? I plan on adding four corns very soon(1.0pewter,0.2bloodred het pewter and 0.1 normal motley het snow)!:)

I usually acquire new snakes a few months out of the year, after I sell hatchlings to fund it.

Oh my goodness, I feel so bad we have 2 more snakes then that, I always forget about my beloved Nelsons. 1.0 albino nelsons milk and 0.1 het (for something fancy) nelsons milk.
Ok I have now included them and don't feel so bad..lol

Usually one or two every few months, but we got tons recently... like, nine! But that's not typical.

There was a long period where we didn't get any new ones, and before the desire to raise them started, we each had one snake for long periods (before we met eachother).

There is really no monthly or yearly average for me, between the purchases and the holdbacks it can vary greatly, I see something I like or want to work with I buy it.

I do not count how many I buy or holdback, it just happens, and as long as I have the room and the means it will keep happening. :rolleyes:
