    I know there are a ton of better peeps out there that do this, but this was the first night that I actually had the lens....more to come.

    A long exposure is when the lens aperture is kept open for a longer time than usual, if I'm not mistaken. So, a "longer" image is captured. You wave a light around, and the picture will show the whole movement. There should be a setting on some digital cameras nowadays to do it.

    how exactly did you do this,,just like a small flashlight on a wall,,but then howd you see what you were doing to get it to come out right?

    What lens, camera, the settings you used....

    Its actually not pointed at the wall, more pointed in the cameras direction. As far as knowing what you've done.....gotta have a good memory. LOL

    The camera and lens is really not that important. As long as your camera can do long exposure, your pretty good.

    With the long exposure, it picks up every detail of light. So lets say you use a strobe light....every flash of that strobe will be picked up.
