    That's looking pretty good.

I was able to tell that the perspective was off, although I wasn't quite sure why, when I was looking at the design before I scrolled down to the original pic. Now I understand it is because the snakes were on a flat surface, but the design seems to be trying to make them look like they are on a 3 dimensional object.

It might be somewhere between really hard and impossible to get them to pose again on a 3D object, and retaking the pic. But, if you could get it to come out right, it would end up looking fabulous.

"Enter" pages are more for XXX sites for disclaimers, I would skip the enter page and use the pictures of the snakes for a cool logo. JMO

Actually NOT true at all. Theres many breeders on this site that use a Enter page.

Just look it up the ones that do take more time and end up turning out nicer than something with pictures slapped all over.

"Enter" is really old school and a bit out of date.

If I type in/click to go to your site, why do I need to "enter" ?

    Just sayin... ;)

some have their own opinion on why they want one. Im doing it as a way to attract potential customers and also be easier on 56k internet users. As you know many reptile sites have tons of pictures and sometimes dont load for slower computer users. Many other ppl that use them will have their own reason.

I know Deborah(MOD) and Jason BOTH use Enter pages.

I main goal is to impress with the cover of site to get them to look around and offspring.

In that case - if you want to be easier for 56k users - why must they go to the first page, wait on a giant image to load, click it, and then wait on your home page to load? :confuzd:

Your home page doesn't have to be loaded down with images, either.

I agree, out of date for anything other than XXX or sites that need disclaimers to keep "kids" or whoever out.

Exactly, making 56k users go to 2 different sites is more time consuming than one site with images. If you want to make it easier for 56k users then put less pictures on each page and make your pictures smaller.

the enter image is only 100Kb in size which will take 56k users about 3 seconds to load.

But your making them download 2 pages instead of just one. Your arguing the fact that it will help 56k users in which it wont.

i like the page except I think it will be hard to make the 3 D look your going for
I think you should just skip the enter page too. You say that sites with title pages look a lot nicer. And the ones that don't have em don't look as nice.
It depends on how much you put into the site design. Why not make an amazing site without a enter page and it would be one of a kind by what you said about the quality with or without an enter page

I respect the style you choose by wanting the enter page, maybe you're shooting for the old school style, not sure. But i don't think that you would be speeding up anyone by putting the enter page in
