Photobucket sucks now... *rant*

I don't ever remember there being an account limit.... and i tried uploading pics today and it told me i couldn't upload anymore because i hit the 1GB limit...

LAME!

So now I am just gonna use my own flippin server and :taz::taz::taz: photobucket

Flickr has a limit too but I save the files I upload in a lower quality. Most my photos for web are less than 500kb.

I have 30 pages of pictures, many very very large in size..

No problems yet. O.o

Phoobucket does have a limit and always has. You can find the amount you've uploaded on your account/settings page I believe.

Yeah, I totally hate it too when someone who is giving me a free service puts a limit on it. :rolleyes:

I have a ton of pictures in mine as well.... They downsize the image if its too large, so you must have an encyclopedia of images. :O

can you make another account and upload more?

I have 3 photobucket pages. Just make up a new email like from yahoo or something and start a new photobucket page.

yeah i find it rather silly to complain about someone putting a limit on FREE bandwidth.

You may find it silly, I don't... personal opinion - you don't have to agree, or even read the thread :D.

And ya, all my pics on my PB are 640 wide & low resolution... I just have a bazillian of them.

I guess Im just going to start using my personal web server for all my uploads anymore (unlimited bandwidth & storage sooo). It was just WAY more conventient for photobucket sometimes with the pre-made IMG tags on the images. no big deal.

Can you just delete some of your PB images? Why not go through them and save the ones you really care about to your computer, then delete the rest?

I've got them all saved on my computer in fullsize, and a backup on an external as well, so thats not the problem :)
I just hate deleting pics from photobucket (because they are all linked to something) so that for some reason if someone goes to look at thread or post on a forum somewhere, the pics are still there :D

I hate going into old threads and the text is there but the pics have been deleted or expired or whatever.

AHHH gotcha....

That really is a bazillion pictures. I thought "I" had a ton of pictures on my account - but I've only used 18% of my 1GB in 3 years.

I've used 2% in YEARS on my free account and thats with 230+ images.

You must have a TON of photos.

Why not stick with a service you obviously like and pay for the Pro version?

PB has always had a 1GB limit on disk space and bandwidth of 25gb a month. Its nothing new and is in the disclaimer when you sign up. I have about 600 pictures on my account and only using 40MB

I have over 1700 pics and still only using 1/3 of my space, and only 1% of the bandwidth.
You can greatly up your space on PB if you upgrade to PRO, for about $40 a year.

Good grief, how many pics do you have on there?! :confused:
I've got 661 photo's and have only taken up 10% of my allotted space for photobucket. I can't imagine having 6,000 photo's on there and needing them all.

That's why I have a Flickr pro account..

I have about 60GB of photos on my computer (granted those are all fullsized).... :D
