    A reminder
Things don't always go to plan...

    http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...s/P1090189.jpg

This is from my first clutch of the season, first Albino baby, and... it died in the egg.

Don't count your eggs before they hatch.

You are dealing with live animals... and nothing stays alive forever.

    Re: A reminder
Sorry to hear that Heather. I definitely don't need a reminder of that, as it seems to happen to me a couple times a year, however, it is a great reminder for the plethora of beggining breeders we have on the site. It's a hard pill to swallow, especially when it is something you are really looking forward to, but it is reality. I apologize once again for your loss, but I have faith that the "Gods" will reward you in the near future. I always seem to get rewarded for the losses.

    Sincerely,

More is usually given for what is taken away, so keep those fingers crossed for the good stuff you've got coming.

Sorry to hear about this little one, do you have any idea about why it might have died?

    Re: A reminder
    Thanks everyone for the sympathy.

It was a hard hit to take last night.. Been a rough week.

As for why? I'm not sure.

There is a LOT of yolk left, and the other two in the clutch are fine (with less yolk), so I'm trying to determine if it was just lack of nutrients, or something else, but in reality it is all speculation.

Sad times, it's has never been easy, and it continues to not be, but... it happens, and you have to be prepared.

    RIP, little one.

I wouldn't stress it Heather, it's a natural part of life. Even in our unnatural enviroments with our "optimal conditions" nature will always show you who's boss at the end of the day.
