First clutch of '09 hatched!

Now that we broke the seal, all of the rest of the clutches are downhill (well maybe that is a bit of a fudge). Even thought this clutch is nothing to cut cartwheels over, I was very excited to see them hatch. As a result of them hatching, I now know that my Pastel Yellow Belly male is not infertile. He bred like a champ last year, but no eggs. This year, he has three clutches in the bator, and at least one more on the way.

We didn't get any Pastel Yellow Bellyies, but we did get a beautiful Pastel male, and a pair of Yellow Bellies (my first ever YBs to hatch). Even though I can't say it is the first babies of the year (since my Nic Boa girl beat these eggs to the punch), it is our first Ball Pythons for the year. Man, every year I forget how small they are when they hatch.

Congrats Tim, that is an awesome pastel, I like that yellow belly on the right too. I'm still trying to prove my male yellow belly too, I finally got one clutch out of him this year and am hoping for the best. He's such a reluctant breeder.

So the drool has now ruined my keyboard. I am in LOVE with that pastel.

I have been hearing the road trip thing forever. Quit talking about it and DO IT. The next couple clutches could contain Caramels, VooDoos, Bees and Spiders. Should be fun.

That poor guy is almost dead (just a saying). He has sired 6 clutches so far, and potentially another 2. He doesn't have anything left for this season. LOL.

The pastel is nice, but I think the YB on the right is the really hot one out of the clutch. Sign me up for that fan club!

Thanks again everyone. WHat is killing me now, is the gap of time between clutch 1 and clutch 2. I have to wait almost another 2 weeks for the next babies.
