nice collection! what is with the lids with holes in them, and the other deli cup with bark chips in it?
sorry if that is a dumb question, but i'm new to snakes. i've had my new western hognose for almost 5 days now, so i'm still learning.

Its ok lol/ They are humidity hides. My snakes mainly use them when they are in shed but I just leave them in their enclosures 24/7 because they do like to use them on even when they aren't in shed.

Nice! First I've seen of the tricolor hog and jungle corn.
How is the hog produced or is it a different variety than the western and eastern hogs?

Very nice! I like the Tri-colored Hog, since not many people seem to own them.

The Tri-Colors are a completely seperate genus of snake snake from South America. Charlie's species is Lystrophis Pulcher. They are distantly related to our North American Hognoses but share several things in common including there small size, rear fangs, love for toads, friendly nature, and of course that little hognose. Charlie is more of a Bi-Colored type pattern but they do get alot brighter than this and have a very milk snake look to them. I hope to get a female soon for him. from what I've read they are pretty productive snake that don't need to be cooled down and can have as many as 6 clutches a year.
