    odd looking baby!!!!
ok this is the baby from that thread i did on a wierd looking egg, he is second to start coming out but something is strange (it may be normal) he has like a completly flat spot in his body. he is still very much alive. im hoping he fills out when he absorbs his yolk.

Looks like a kink from that picture... not quite sure. If you can get some better pictures it would be easier to see....

Have you checked to see if his umbilicus is twisted and preventing him from absorbing the yolk? I would look at that and consider setting him up similarly like the link that I posted with moist paper towel.

hey i just went and did like you said except i could not remove him from the egg completely due to a major vein still attached to the egg, but i cut away most of the egg and it did look like his umbilicus might have been twisted so i straighted that out but he is just so flat its freaky looking.

Looks like a severe Kink to me. This is common in some morphs, Like the Caramel Albino, sometimes it looks really bad, but the snake is able to live a normal life, and even breed. Sometimes not. I hope he is ok....and I wish you luck.

Well I mentioned culling in the other thread but make sure you give the little guy a fighting chance before considering it. Good luck, :)

Looks like a prolem caused by a twisted umbilical cord. Get it into a little bit of water to hydrate and then see how it looks.

Be sure to try what Justin suggested about getting him into some water - for about 1/2 an hour. We visited with Justin today (Deb, Judy and myself) and we actually talked about this guy and he said that when a baby isn't getting hydrated from the nourishment, it looks like it's "collapsed", but when he's offered them water by putting them in it, they'll drink and drink and drink, and re-bound.

Not saying that this little guy will do so, but it's certainly worth trying!
