I see nothing wrong with the video itself. The title is a bit off. It should be common knowledge to anyone not to mess with a wild animal or you will have to pay the consequences. That video showed just that.

It is a nasty one, at least 5 inches long and 1 -2 inches across and pretty deep.

any time friend, any time. a guarantee i'd have that snake out of the water and into a bag quicker than it took them to shoot the vid of him freaking out. more to do with knowing the animal and how you try and do it than anything.

now if that were a green annie, i might have to think about it a little bit (and certainly would have reliable back up). this is just sad, really. like the guy who tackled a burmese on the discovery channel; he injured the snake, the snake struggled to escape, and the whole speech was about how the burm was trying to kill the ones trying to capture it, when it was obviously throwing around and thrashing in self defense.

This is the old one. He Brady went back a year later and found a BIG one in the same place that he did in this eposode. This time he came prepared and slipped some fishing line on it with things they use to put on turtles shells. Then he set up a spool off the ground with the fishing string so he can follow it IF it went out of the cave. The next morning WOW he followed it and if I am correct....(it has been a while since I have seen it) and it was over 21 ft. I agree that NOTHING is wrong with the vid. Brady knew what would happen. His whole deal was (if you saw the whole thing) to see if GIANT PYTHONS were both thriving and if they were comming in the cave to excape the heat and then going back out to hunt. Sorry so long. LOL

1:20 is the best, when he gets bite. He shouldn't of bothered the snake, let alone showing he has no experience. Then he's crying over the bite, as if crying is going to stop it? I laid a motorcycle down at 70mph and I took skin off my elbow to where I could see the bone, took skin off my knee & knuckles, I got back up and was fine. I did curse for a minute when I seen my bike but I mean come on?

Anyone seen the new one yet????? And He is screaming cause I AM SURE that it hurt BAD! He was also freaking out cause of what he was wadding in. I am sure if you have seen this whole eposode that you would have seen it is in CENTURIES of bat guano. And on top of that he was a full TWO days from a REAL hospital. As far as he shouldn't be doing it ..... prob. However it would make for good tv. Also he is very well known thoroughout the animal world so I think he is by NO means stupid. Anyone seen any of his other shows??

yeah, the infection and resulting fever were instantaneous! he was delerious in less than 30 seconds, total shock shortly after.

I dont know the guy. Never seen his show or anything but maybe he shouldnt be in the water if he knew there were centuries of guano. I know not everyone is going to be like steve irwin and walk away smiling after being bitten but this guy should not of been in the cave with a retic and cry when he got bitten. He was pulling a wc retic out of a cave in waist deep water and not expect to be bitten. I mean what did he think the retic was going to do??? And then he crys out he has to get out of the water because he has a bad back.... Wth was he doing in there in the first place if his back is bad?????

List of reasons not to get into water!!!
1. Big snake
2. dark
3. tons of bat droppings
4. BAD back
5. Drama queen
6. The snake is planning something .........

or even just be prepared to face the consequences. it's like sticking your hand in a flame. you know it's hot, so don't be too upset when you get burned.

i think his back is ok, he just suffered a "verbal typo". drama queen? jeez, i know a 13 year old who would take a bite better than that!

on top of that, i'm wondering who the genious was that thought it would be a good idea to go INTO WATER to chase WILD RETIC, and then attempt to manhandle it.

i assumed national geographic was getting into comedy....

Tell me half of you could take a bite from a snake with teeth this size and just scream for one second and then giggle "haha, there is a large snakes teeth in my leg. It is all my fault. I'm just going to wait until it lets go then skip my way out of this bat crap."

The snake he got bitten by was nowhere near as big as that. Yes they do hurt when they bite but usually when most people get bitten they dont scream like they are dying they simply say a few choice words! Also it bit him and then let go. Its not like it was hanging on forever. Id bite him to if he pulled me out of my cave.

I mean come on he upset this snake so bad it was "plotting" something against them.

if he got bitten by a snake that size, i don't think he'd be screaming, i think he'd be under water....

if that small a retic is that much of a problem, i'd hate to see him try and capture a medium sized anaconda. he'd probably feint from one of those bites :P

There is this other guy on animal planet that has a show I forgot his name but he did an episode where he jumped in the water after a big green and acted like he was wrestling it out of the water and me and my wife were just laughing lol. I CANT wrestle my 6 foot green out of her cage.. There is no way that guy could of wrestled a wc green that size out of water by himself lol. Have you seen that ?

yeah, i've seen that one too, lol. also saw the one where the guy was "attacked" by a wild burm (actually, HE jumped on the snake, snake was startled and fought to escape, throwing coils to push him off her). it was shameful at best, the poor snake.... and they portray it as the python being the evil one! the thing was so relaxed before they jumped it that they were actually able to touch and move the body before he lunged for the head.

sometimes i think that a prerequisite for hosting one of these shows is an iq shorter than the length of the snake :p
