Here is an odd off topic subject for you picture buffs

I went scuba diving this past weekend... with my dive camera. I was 14 miles offshore diving on the old Gator Bowl pressbox that was turned into an artificial reef. It was at a depth of about 80 feet.

I have this truly unbelievable picture... the picture itself is out of focus, and messy.... but there is a VERY CLEAR, freaky, scary, beautiful, chilling, image of a woman with long hair peering out of the structure in the background. The details are all there... eyes, nose, mouth, chin, ear, very detailed neck, shoulders, hair, even the shadow from her chin line on her neck..... you would have to see it to believe it. It is 100% unedited, and there are no flaws in it even when you zoom way in.

I will post a pic on here once I figure out how to copyright the image or something... There is no doubt in my mind that this picture is magazine / news worthy. In my honest opinion it is such an unbelievable picture, I can't risk it getting "out" on the web and loosing credit for it.

Anywhoo, how does one go about copyrighting such an image? If I want to get the picture published in say a dive magazine or something, how do I go about doing it? It is a 6 megapixel picture, so I can very easily blow it up into a BIG picture.

the most interesting thing in my opinion was I copied it and tried editing it playing with the colors, tints, temperatures, and all that crap and NONE of the edits were better then the original picture.

Jeesh, this is a freaky picture. I get chills down my spine just looking at it, yet she is so beautiful I can't stop looking at her. VERY WEIRD STUFF.

LOL, I guess her beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I see her as a beautiful woman... my wife things she looks like george washington..... Will post pic soon, trying to get someone to watermark it for me (don't know how to watermark)

I work on some of the oil and gas platforms in the gulf. I should have had a camera with me saturday. I saw a turtle(about a four foot shell/I guess a green sea turt) come up twice for a breath. Also a couple of sharks: one about 6 or 7 feet - probably a large sand shark, the other one was about a 12 foot hammer head. Have you seen more sharks this year? I'm seeing them regularly and near the surface.
Wish I could go diving as often as you!

In the first pic it looks like a very young child or baby, the second I do see a woman. Not so sure she's a beauty though :P
I took a pic a loooong time ago of some vines and George Washington is in them but I don't see him here.

You guys are absolutely nuts! oh well, maybe she was only meant for me to see and appreciate.... I also think it might have something to do with my laptop and how its screen displays the colors differently then a full sized monitor...

Maybe this will help you too look at it from a different perspective.... you have to notice the shadow from her chin, and her ear that is poking out from her full head of hair.

I think its a cool picture. Just looks like the surface has an imprint of George Washingtons face. Do you not see George in it? Thanks for sharing.

Also, maybe if you feel like it, open it in paint or photoshop, and outline where you see the hair and such? Because honestly, the more I look, the more I see george. Maybe if there is an outline, we can see what you see.

She does look like a young woman with high cheek bones!... a ghost maybe? That's creepy and intriguing at the same time. You're lucky to have captured that on camera.

I think this is one of those things where we are tricking our minds to see something that isnt there, or something that we see in our minds, but others don't. Happens with me often, I paranormal investigate, and often see something that others dont. That makes it special to you Mike. It doesnt matter what others see, you took the pic, and in your mind/heart feel what it is you really captured. That is awesome!

It was really cool though to see connies interpretation of it... would love to see other peoples interpretation.

Have you thought about using an image enhancing program to get a better zoomed version of it, and maybe a more clear resolution?

I don't know how to do any of that stuff. I tried the most basic things like changing the colors and brightness, but I couldn't get it to look any better. If anyone wants to have a crack at it, shoot me your email and I will send you the origional file to edit to the best of your ability. :gj:
