What did you use as an incubator? Looks like it just came out of a rack...

Congrats on the great odds. Depending on what temp you incubated, they will probably start poking out their heads on day 54-55 and crawl out between 57-59. If you incubated a bit cooler (say 88 degrees), those estimates could be 1 to 2 days later.

thanks tim. yea i incubated them in the 89-91 degree range. being that i cut on 52 do you think i need to mist them to keep them from drying out?

I did, it's certainly not going to hurt them to do so! If you left the flaps on, then it's less necessary.

i know that the entire time during incubation we try to keep the eggs dry. so now when i mist them do i need to try not to wet the egg itself. also i have another issue, i guess its the louisiana heat my incubator hits 92 degrees but only during the hottest part of the day is that to hot.

Congrts!!! I really need that kind of luck!! Any news on the dark stained egg?
Tip: If you change your metering to ''center metering'' in your digital camera and shoot to the center of the shaded part of any egg, you would end whit a bit better iluminated photos. This may not apply to your camera, but give it a try!
