I'm thinking about going, I have never been to the Columbia show and it's a 3 hour drive. Can anyone tell me how it compares to the Raleigh, NC or Richmond, VA shows?

usually columbia is bigger then the atlanta show. Ga just has so many laws about there animals. ONe of the reasons columbia is so big is because of the venomous animals. people drive a long way jsut for the venomous animals they can buy at columbia

We did end up making the show today and I'm glad we did. The 6 hrs on the road made it a long day but I did pick up a nice Northern Pine Snake from Jim at Home Grown Herps and my daughter got a nice little normal Ball Python.

I've never seen so many hots in one place, a lot of the Rattlesnakes were putting on a rattling seminar and there were a ton of Cobras there.

x2...all of the pastels that I saw looked like normals. There were a few cool looking things, but for the most part I was very under impressed.

there seemed to be much less variety this time, opposed to the last show. i enjoyed it, but this one was certainly not the best ever. i agree, most of the pastels were not even two years old and already normal brownish. hoping for better morph luck in october.

what is everyone's best pick up? my fav is a mean little nile monitor who is determined to sever my finger from my hand... lol

I picked up nothing, I saw a pair of bredli's, striped bredli's and iran jayas that I loved but the guy didnt seem honest and didnt even know what prices to sell anything. Claimed that the bredli's are very tame and was 05's. He opened the tub and both 1.1 together was about half the size of my 05 female! The male darted at him and tried to take his arm off. He said they are 05's but he bought them 5-6 years ago. Nothing else at the expo stood out to me.

there was a guy with an ~15ft albino burm charging $5 to take a picture with a "tame giant" and I overheard him saying that he was tame and that he probably could bite, but that he wouldn't
