    Music????......
Does any of your snakes like music? and if so what kind?

I ask this because every time I put on my motown classics collection... Rios starts cruising around his tank. Is he the only one or do other snakes show a reaction to music?

Yeah.... I went ahead and just played that clip of Whitesnake.... and Rios disappeared back into his hide.... LOL...... Rios seems to be more of the Billy Preston, Temptations, Supremes, kind of snake.

seriously man, the snakes will pick up the vibrations of the music and get scared. thats why they suddenly get active.

in their world, theyre thinking that a great elephant is about to tread on it or something, and it wants to get out of the area quick - time. if you leave your music on and your snake goes crazy in his box. he's not "dancing"... -_- , he's urgently trying to escape. and because he's locked in i expect its quite a torture.

    Thanks....
I did not think of that aspect, but I do keep my music pretty low. My son is louder then the music that is playing. That and I play slow lighter music like the commodores, temptations, lionel richie.... nothing with a lot of bass. My son can not stand music loud if it has any hint of bass to it, so I tend to stick to the motown genre.

Not necessarily, mild vibrations could give the snake the illusion of food, another snake, etc, not danger in all cases. Now if you had a huge amp next to the cage and blasted some beats, that would be wrong, but some mild tunes shouldn't be a problem, I mean, our world is enveloped in sound. Most, if not all, animals are accustomed to hearing noise.

I actually think some noise/music is better than total science.

    Just my thoughts.

Hmm maybe I should find somewhere else for my snake's tank than my computer desk next to my laptop.
