Well I want to see a movie this weekend....I'm thinking Star trek or Land of Lost. I have NEVER seen a star trek episode and I do not know the characters BUT everyone says this movie is awesome! Then theres Land of the Lost, two words...will farrell and Lizard People ! What should I go see?

Well, I grew up with Star Trek...and I LOVED the new movie. They did a great job of capturing the original crew as youngsters with the new cast. I also took my kids to see it...and they have never seen a Star Trek episode in their lives (I feel like such a failure as a mother! )...and they also enjoyed it very much. My 16 year old is still chattering about it days later.

Hmm...an epic sci fi movie that even non-Trek people love or a subpar Will Ferrall comedy based off one of the cheesiest TV shows of all time.

Sid and Marty Croft were smoking some good stuff when they came up with that.

This Star Trek is accessible to everyone - not just Trekkies. My g/f hates the show Star Trek but absolutely loved this movie. I'd definitely pick it over Land of the Lost.

I have always been a Star Wars fan. Never really cared for much Star Trek, but I must admit at risk of being flogged to death by the Star Wars community, that it is growing on me! The original Star Trek series airs here on Sunday evenings and I watch it every week. The Tribble episode was just on! Love it!! So...I took my Star Wars fan of a hubby to see the Star Trek movie. He was less then thrilled with the thought, but he loved it! I loved it! All around great movie. Of course, my main motivation for going was to go to the new IMAX theater that just opened. Only one in Maine! Woot!

Forget Land of the Lost. See Star Trek.

Oh, and my Star Wars Geek hubby is already looking forward to the next Star Trek movie even though it will probably be a few years before the next one comes out!
