Those are Western Longnose snakes which I suspect you know are native to Ca. In fact, you can find them about 40 miles east of where you live.

They're illegal to sell in Ca.

    the hybrids have a name?

I have always had a slight fear of hybridizing snakes, It seems to me that with such a wild animal that you could have something really agressive?
is this a legit fear or just fear of the unknown?

I have a goldendoodle, which in essce is just a hybrid....

A Goldendoodle is a mixed breed dog, so not technically a hybrid any more than any mixed breed dog. But they're cute! ;)

Those snakes are very cool... I don't know what they are.

Those are not hybrids. They are a naturally occurring native to the southwest.

There is quite a bit of variation in colour but there is no doubt what those snakes are.

That's awesome. I have nothing against mutts! I love 'em ;)

Adopting a rescue, especially a senior, is AWESOME!

They are fine to keep, though I don't have the regs. in front of me and I know there's a bag limit, just not fine to sell.

They make good pets but don't come out much during the day.

They prefer lizards but will sometimes take mice or rats or voles.

Those are at least 3 maybe 4 years old, probably older.

In Ca. it's illegal to harvest reptiles for resale.

Who told you they were 09 hybrids?

Dogs aren't hybrids.. Hybrids only occur when two different species are bred.
All dogs are the same species.

    Re: I just aquired 2 hybrid milk/kings
I know people who have bred them but personally have not.

All came from the wild. Some preferred lizards, most ate rodents eventually.

I would imagine they live in the 15 to 20 year range.

They vary incredibly in colour and pattern. They're a neat not often kept snake.
