Holy COW lots of pinks!!

two days ago mom # one gave birth to only 9 pinks well last night mom # 2 was in labour when i went to bed and its cleaning day today so i figured id get a head count on the babies... mom # 2 had 24 pinks!! wow now thats a litter lol

Look's to me that the 9 older babies are in there as well. Nice litter, tho.

they are. total count was 33 pinks, but two from the older ones got to meet a friends monitor and never returned lol so now the total count is 31 pinks in that pile...

is it hard to breed mice, im getting tired of runing to the pet store all the time. i have a ten gallon tank in not currently using:rolleyes:, would that work?

10 gallons work great but your gonna need two more for grow out eventually

Wow what a litter. Are you going to give mom's a rest before you breed them again or do you keep dad in with the babies? This will keep you from having to run to the store for at least, what a week ;)

i never take dad out, there is just too much risk of moms eating dad when he comes back lol but hes a great daddy, he takes more care of the littluns than the moms do. they pretty much just feed them and then leave again, he grooms and warms them most of the time... i think the moms have wayyy to much fun on the weel

haha ya i only have one snake..lol so i guess ill be selling some off...

I have read they can be prolific breeders but that's quite an impressive number!
