Anyone have pics of fresh hatched cinnamons?
Maybe I am just in denial, but a few of my babies dont look exactly normal. Does anyone have a few pics of fresh hatched cinnamon babies? I bred a pastel and the cinnamon male to all my normal females. The first clutch had 1 pastel and 4 "normals" but 1 of them has really nice blushing and white bellies, so maybe its a cinny? They look so close to norms, its hard for me to tell.

easiest way to tell is the head. it should be very faded along with the ocular stripes.

Call me crazy but I thought you said there were some pastels in there I see only normals. Maybe its just the lighting. But def no cinnies.

I interpreted the "strike 2" comment to mean this was a 2nd clutch that hatched out with no cinnies. If that is true, I'd have to start wondering if there is any possibility the "cinnamon" male is not actually a genetic cinnamon?

I got a pastel in the first clutch, a nice female. This clutch was a big miss ;)

rather 5 norms than 5 dead green eggs though! My NEXT clutch is gonna be the kicker. It was cinny and pastel bred to a female pastel, 5 eggs, and I BETTER have something decent! If not I have acinny thats going inthe freezer, lol

I started thinking that myself, but since I bred both the male pastel and female pastel to all my norm females, I really cant prove it. He is definitely a cinny, BHB line. If I dont get 1 cinny out of the 6 clutches I am expecting, i will be replacing him though

lol yeah I found that cinnies have no true alien heads since mos og the side spots are circle shape and not all connect to the belly .

That is a good indicator, however, it is not always true. I have hatched out some Cinnys that have very lite heads, but I have also hatched out some that have very dark, almost black, heads. I can say however, that every one I have hatched does have a very purple hue on the lower half of the body (that part being closest to the belly. Typically, the overall pattern of a Cinny is different as well.
