My spouse is tired of BP.net club

As founding member of this club I welcome all of you to come to this thread and voice your frustrations about your spouse complaining about excessive BP.net use...

They obviously don't understand us. They don't understand our need to grow in our addiction. All they do is look at us on the computer again and roll their eyes or say something nasty under their breath. If only there was a way for them to see the light as we do....

My better 1/2 doesn't care as long as I show her some loving after the fact :P

Here is a solution for you get her to join ;)

She use to bother me I guess I'm on less now.

I'm not in this club either..but I am a member of the "You spent how much on that snake" like 1500.00 is a big number.

Im not quite in that club yet... but I get teased about it. As long as I take care of my kids, have dinner ready and give him attention and lovin, he's kewl with it.

My boyfriend always asks me why I am on here so much and why I don't get tired of it. I simply tell him because I want to learn all I can about the care and husbandry of my BP. He is cool with it as long as I don't spend all day on here.

Nope. Lucky enough to not have this issue. My other half is a video game designer (in the making) so he's on the puter most of the time too.

when asked "whatch'a doing?" and I reply "snake stuff on the internets", i used to get the ol' eye-rolling. She's stopped doing it as much and I think has accepted that talking to people here makes me happy.. but it was pretty funny for a while.

They sometimes just dont get it, lol.

My husband was never one to complain, until he started needing the computer for work stuff recently. Now he does the equivelant of the Internet "pee-pee dance" behind me until I get off of the computer LOL. Alot of the time we surf together though, or he's playing Playstation a few feet away, so we are still technically spending time together, right?

We are both addicted to this site!

Mine isn't on here but he's online a lot and he is as into (if not more so) the snakes as I am!

I am more into the genetics and scientific stuff. He's more into handling and playing with them- we're both obsessed in our own ways ;)

Man, I hear it every time I'm on here, and I'm afraid I'll never stop hearing how mad it makes my g/f that I haven't gotten tired of sitting in front of this khakitastic screen yet.

I will say (and there are some fine old' mods that understand) that If you don't understand then maybe you should step down). These things also happen in relationships.
I have had many old friends. And some people very (VERY) close to me that had very different ideas about the reptile rescue / trade. I rescue and respect. I always will.
I respect this site for info. Weather I give it or LEARN it (which I learn it often from this site.) things happen.
This site never holds me back. My other half knows. Maybe I wear the punk rock suspenders in this house, but my other half will always where the pants. Maybe he just knows when to pick his battles :)
which is why we may be complete.

My EX Husband (Whoo hoo, this is a great thing..lol). Always complained....
My new guy never does...
Maybe he knows better, I don't know.
I just love the forum and he is usually over my shoulder (even if Family Guy is on!).
We love the forum..

We were getting ready the other day and I had to check my e-mail for work real quick. He shouted from the other room, "If I come in there and you're on BP.Net I'm leaving without you!"

I just asked if we could get a piebald.... even a reject breeder... i have never seen him so livid when i mentioned number amounts

I will get a rolling of the eyes sometimes from my wife...but whenever I sell some snakes I take some of that money and take her out on a nice date. Then she is okay with me being on here for hours at times. :P

I am most definitely a member. But now I am getting her more into it and she is getting better with it. When she told me she wanted to get a few GTP I was like LETS GO! We picked up the enclosures, a misting system and everything else she needed for them. Then we picked up a Merauke male. We are now waiting on a pair of Manokwari. She is loving it. Setting up the enclosures. I am having fun watching her enjoy it.

I would hear in the past you are cleaning those enclosures again? Didn't you just feed them? How much was that one now? But now I do not hear those any more. But I still get crap if I am on for to long.

No, but I am a member of the club that talks to non-reptile people about snakes for WAY too long!! :D Sheesh, my friends probably think I'm such a reptile GEEK!!!

Maybe 2 weeks is still too new to be part of this club. Hubby is OK, since we're totally new to snakes and need all the help we can get! Let's just say my longtime, regular cyberhangout hasn't seen as much of me since I discovered this place. :D
