Well I did a dumb thing (I admit)...today is feeding day and the snakes know it. Well Zita (our Colombian) had left me a present in her tub so I figured I would walk her from QT to the herp room (where the rats are also kept for now) so I could just put her on the bed and dump her whole tub out. Well she got the smell of rat and decided to attack the nearest warm thing (my hand obviously). Didn't hurt, just surprised the tee-total hell out of me! But now I know what to expect. She must have quite a clean mouth because I put hand sanitizer on it since I don't have rubbing alcohol and waited for it to burn and it never did. If I would have had my phone in my pocket ya'll would have probably got a shot of her on my hand. lol.

I did it big for my first time! lol. She measured 80" at her last shed so not quite a small boa but she is a hungry one cause of the guy that had her before us. I need to feed her more to fatten her up a bit.

yes, she is still there, tonight is actually her last night along with cortana if they both eat.

Well if the qt period is nearly at an end I don't suppose it is as important but for those reading in the future - if your snake is in quarantiine do not take it into your herp room, it kind of defeats the point. :colbert:

I knew that, but for lack of a better excuse I didn't think, "hey, i'll drag the trash can in the kitchen and dump it out here." Sometimes I just need a good smack on the head. lol.

I have been on this forum long enough to know I would be HOUNDED if I didn't have pics...t

My thought process:
1. Get snake off hand and back into tub.
2. Get camera for BP.net!

I have my priorities straight.

my last bite that held on,while it was blamped on my finger i reached for the camera,,,so you still had your priorities backwards,they let go eventually:)

1.) Get camera for BP.net
2.) Take shot of snake on hand
3.) Get snake off hand (if he is still holding on)
4.) Take another shot of hand
