Check out this Mojave!!

Jason ran into a guy at the pet store selling his mojave's. Check out this male. Has anyone ever seen such a reduced pattern on a mojave.

It looks pretty cool. I love the long dorsal stripes with the hooks on it. And the Reducedish looking pattern. Definitely a keeper!

Interesting hooks on it too - which is sometimes used as a marker for something else going on with the animal genetically. :gj:

Hmm, now that I take another look at it..it kinda reminds me of the garcia mojave.

Thank you!!. The bad thing is that the male is the one with the reduced pattern. lol. I don't know if I'm taking both of them, but I think the male is a definite. I think I'll put him with my normal female and see if it's genetic. :)

I really like mojos with nice striping like that. The mojave/YB/sulfurs are one of my favorite combos for that reason. I'm hoping to hatch some next year that will have some killer striping, with this pair.

Yeah, I can see what your talking about there. I love the yellow on that Mojo. I can't wait to see this one in person. Hopefully his colors match his strange pattern.

I'm a big fan of the high contrast, bold yellow on mojos, too. I like blushing, but blushing is never as important to me as bright yellows against a velvety black background. The same goes for pastels.

I picked out my original breeder male for his extreme color and contrast, and it paid off big time. It's carried over to most of his offspring in a big way, so I'm working to keep and improve that color and contrast, above everything. But I had to buy the striped female above for him. Her pattern was perfect to complement the mojave pattern. I just hope her pattern contributes to future babies without messing with the male's nice coloring too much.

lol. I know he's breathtaking. I talked to the guy tonight, and I'm going to look at him in person on Sunday!!! I'm so excited. We're planning on taking him home on Thurs. What's the Garcia mojave? I did a google search and it just brought me back to this thread.
