Bah!

I put in the general BP because the following rant is about BP.

I'm an avid craigslist user, and I constantly search for deals around. I look for everything. TVs, cars, reptile cages, entertainment centers, the works. Well, I was looking one day and I did a search for python in the pets section, as I'm sure many of you do. I see nothing amazing, or any animals that are in need of rescue (mainly just over priced) well lo-and-behold I find a guy who needs to unload some of his snakes, one of which is a 08 female spider. Spiders are among my favorite morphs and this guys wants 250 for it. I contact him and get him down to 200, wow? Freaking amazing is more like it! Not only that but it fits in breeding plans. I freaking love bees and I've got my pastel male alreay.

As it turn out had some large expeditures on the way, and wasn't able to afford her. I use past tense because this was several weeks ago, and I'm still kicking myself because I had to bail on an amazng deal for such a nice snake. I still can't afford her, and I'm sure shes gone by now.

I just needed to rant for a moment. I can't vent to the girlfriend because she thinks 2 snake is already to much. I should not be allowed on to kingsnakes, fauna classifieds, or into the pet section of craiglist. I just end up hating myself.[/rant]

dude i feel for ya. thats a killer deal and i know what its like to have to pass on something like that because of money.

advice for the girlfriend: shoes! i wanted to get a 3rd bp and i had to buy my fiancee a couple pairs of shoes for her to let me get another bp. i don't know why they love shoes so much, but it works. well worth it in the end :)

If only I had the money for shoes!

LOL...LOL... See the shoes would not work with me... since I just got my third snake... Well my next on the wish list is a Piebald... and m boyfriend thinks that I am a little nuts for that one... I have two Garter snakes, ane one new baby ball python,.. and he has two three year old female ball pythons that are sisters.... So if we were ever to move in together.... eicks that would be alot of snakes under one roof,... plus then my five year old son......:snake::rolleye2:

Probably wouldn't work on lady either.

I did just that, she still is, and I hate myself for inquiring, because I still can't afford her.

I don't like this game.

That sucks! Would he take half now and the rest next month and you could pick her up, or some other such arrangement?

My DH and I don't have a limit... we're not seeking more now, but I wouldn't dream of telling him no.

He is willing to go payment plan, but you understand the worries involed with not paying upfront with someone whos not a reputible breeder.
