Re: Asf's illegal?
I think on USARK's website they have a search, where you can see the laws in your state. I don't know if they are specifically for reptiles, but it should total laws against exotics. Try there, and if I'm wrong someone correct me, but I think that is where I've seen it.

not a whole lot is illegal in the state of PA, however certain cities and counties have laws against things.

Re: Asf's illegal?
When I researched it, I found only California, Missouri, and Kentucky. All other states permit them. Some just have local(within cities) regulations.

Yea, that's not the only list.
Sapphire tigress has a short list going. If I come across a state with specific regulation, I send them to her just to help out.

And yea, PA is funny with stuff, you dont need a permit or nothin to own venomous snakes, but need a permit to own a skunk =P

Re: Asf's illegal?
I don't see the value in calling to as about the species. You are only asking for trouble. It is common knowledge that they are not illegal in PA. That should be good enough.

Re: Asf's illegal?
Funny I know a lot of people who have them in Missouri. But I bet they won't get in trouble unless someone actually complains about it. I only have the 1.2 plus however many babies are still alive from the latest litter. Now I don't think I'll be going into business trying to sell them. So I'm not going to worry about it at all.
Now shhh...:shh:don't tell on me. :D

because it is a native species and I am betting because they are prone to carrying rabies.
