Price Check

Pair of 100% Het Lav. Albinos for $400. They're at my local exotic pet store, they took me into the back and were showing me all the stuff in theyre rack they have back there and he showed me a pair he said he got as het lavs. I asked if he was sellin them and he said for $400....

pet shop or not id stay clear of that deal ,100% Het Lavander albinos sell for way more then that .Just my .02

thats what i was thinkin....i'm gonna go in tomorrow and find out all the specifics about them.

i request who he got thm from and in writing what % het they are they may only be 50% possible het. either way without contacting he actual breeder I pass on them with some written guantee

A genuine het lav pair generally sells for about $2000-2500.

Could be. But, logically, if something is being advertised at 1/7th of the current going rate...you just gotta use your head.

Unless they have picture verification from a reputable breeder... wait what am i saying a pair of het lavs for $400... RRRRRRRUUUUUUNNNNNN AWAY!!!

I just saw a pair of het lavs on kingsnake for a few thousand.

They are more than likely Het REGULAR Albinos if they are het at all..

Run, and run farther. People get good deals once in a while sure, but if its to good of a deal to be true.... Why would I sell you something for $5 if I could sell it for $10 w/ out any effort........

Here is the question you need to ask yourself

How will you feel in 3, 5 years (maybe more) if those animals do not prove out and all you produce are normals?

Will the time and money invested be worth it?

No one in their right mind would sell a het lavender pair at that price when they can sell them at $2000.

Buy from a reputable breeder otherwise you will be very disappointed.

The Enclosure, Its on Golden Mile Highway. I went today and they kinda avoided the lav.'s so i'll just forget about it. Your probably right about them being normals but meh. I wouldnt have bought them without good paperwork anyways.

I am a risk taker and would ask tons and tons of questions and see if I could get something in writing. Yes that price is way to low for what they should sell for.
