Any Gamers out there?

I've tinkered around with some mmo's as of late and wonder if any BP.net people play them. If so, which ones and why? :pc:

I've got two characters on The Lord of the Rings online...

I'm on the Brandywine server and compared to my WoW experience people there seem to be a little more mature and forgiving when it comes to remembering its still just a "game".

The character classes are fun and fairly level with each providing a certain skill to the fellowship.

I've really enjoyed it and its held my attention a lot longer than any other game I've played.

I play L4d, trackmania nations forever, and as for MMO's World of Warcraft. If anyone plays..I'm on arathor as creeptaztik ( alliance) mostly. I used to be really obsessed, but casually play it now.

I used to play an online MUD called The Final Challenge.

But mostly, I play D&D - 3.0/3.5, NOT 4! I've played for about 26 years, since the original game, and now play online at RPOL.net with my friends from TX and my BF as the DM. :) We play a homemade world with D20 rules, and we play Star Wars Saga ed. Legacy Era.

In addition, I play various simulation computer games (ZooTycoon2, Sims, Civ), and my dear BF (who is a future game designer with degree) has a PS2 and an XBOX 360 elite. :D

So yes, there are two MAJOR gamers over here. :gj:

OMG my boyfriend plays WOW from the time he gets home from work until early in the morning when he goes to bed... leads all the raids and stuff. talks on those headphones nonstop. his characters are all on the highest level possible, supposedly they're worth a lot of money. i don't understand it lol. i have my animals to keep me company :P

I'm a WoW player. Mostly Horde side on Dragonblight.

unfortunately yes WoW for me :( bout 4 years now.

I like to play WOW every now and then. I will get on a kick for a month or two, then get bored...

Around here we used to play Asheron's Call (a few years back) then more recently World of Warcraft. It's fun for the whole family so pretty much everyone has a character even little 8 year old Michael. :)

I have a friend that plays wow, i know'n him for about 4 years damn i think thats how long he's been playing for ... he never would leave his computer
like when he went out wit us we would take pictures of him out side because it was rare of him to be outside .... we thank his girlfriend for come'n around cause he stoped game'n it 24/7 .... damn game would drive you crazy if you heard it on speakers just blairing

I play FFXI, and a bit of EQ2 tried WoW but didnt like to easy for me

As for MMO's... FFXI used to be my main, but now I'm onto WOW.

I play D&D once a week.

Consoles include Wii, Xbox, PS3, Nintendo DS, and PSP. But lately I've been hooking up the N64 and Super NES. We're getting into hunting down and finding old games that for some reason or another we've managed to lose.

Then we move onto the LAN parties that are frequently held at my house. Games include, Tribes, Quake, Diablo, etc. I'm very saddened that we won't be able to go the Quake Con this year. :(

But yeah, that's about it. We're big video game geeks over here and own all of the main console from Atari to anything new. Working on getting some arcades and some of the lesser known consoles as well.

I have been playing WoW for over 3 years. No other MMO even comes close.

I only play fps, but my favourite right now is Left 4 Dead. Amazing multiplayer fps game. for anyone looking to get in to fps should start with the all time classic, Halflife 2 Deathmatch.

MMOs.. The only one that was ever worthwhile was Ultima Online. Vendetta Online was worthwhile but only for about 9 months.

After trying out just about every single MMO/MMORPG out there, I can safely say that UO by far surpassed anything else out there now or ever existed before.

I got into it as a way to keep in touch with my uncle, we played together while I was in middle school, and my brother picked it up not long after. It was fun for the 8 years I played it but my interest waned as the game changed too much from content addition after content addition.

Now I've been playing Left 4 Dead with my brother and sister, another great way to keep in touch while living in 3 different parts of the country.

I was a little misleading when I said I only tinkered. I've only recently, relatively speaking, become involved in the wonderful world of MMOs

Wow...didn't expect so many responses. I played City of Heroes/City of Villians for about 2.5yrs until I got tired of it. I'd never really given much thought to playing WoW until last fall. A couple of my students play it and I thought I'd finally give it a shot. Bad call!!, I've been playing since November and love it. I've even convinced my wife to start up an account, but she doesn't play as much as I do. My main toons are on Ghostlands (Alliance). I've recently rolled a couple of horde toons on Duskwood and Scarlet Crusade. One of the things about WoW that pulled me in was the storyline. I've played the other WC games back in the early 90's and was familiar with the game. I'm even thinking about getting the WC novels to read.
