    New 12qt Rack
With the boa having 22 babies last week we had to come up with another hatchling rack. We decided to go with 12qt tubs so the boas could stay in them a little longer. Dwayne came over and helped put his majical carpentry skills on this 28 tub snake rack and a 28 tub rat rack...thanks man!

It's hard to beat a rack made by Roosterman2173!!!!!!!

LOL!!! They are actually nut and screw stackable storage bins from Tractor Supply. You get a stack of 6 for $8. Not too bad. These are the smaller ones, they have them in 3 bigger sizes for bigger snakes. You get 4 of the biggest ones for $8.

great racks!! its still hard for me to say that with out grinning!!

2 questions: 1. hows the back heat working for you? the rack looks pretty enclosed some im guessing it works good in this situation.
    2. do you have any exhaust fans for that rodent room?

Back heat works well with a tstat. The rack is enclosed and the heat radiates well and temps stay consistent.

The rat room is a 12x60 mobile home. We keep all the windows and doors open with big floor fans moving air. One big fan pulls air in the back door and another pulls air out of the actual rat room. Also have fans blowing on the racks. During the winter door fans stay and oil heaters are sitting next to the racks.

We had to move the old rack to position the new...with the rats out we had no problem moving it. Probally be pretty hard with all the rats in.
