Will Brett Favre return?
Pretty straight forward; will Brett Favre return this coming season?
Will the soap opera continue? :)
BTW this is a public poll....so we can all see what you picked. :P
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
you cant really say because he just cant stay away so i said yes he will
and i don't care much anymore because hes not a packer, and yes im a cheese head :P
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Yes with the team he originally wanted to play for the Vikings. He's the man he'll do better over there to many problems in NY. He almost took that sorry coach and team to the playoffs.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
yeah he was doing good for the packers then he just had to friggin leave :(
oh well his loss .... lol
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
lol favre with the vikings.
There would be war.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
You cant pick both?!?!?!?!?
LOL
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
5 to 6 TD passes against his old team priceless.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
I just want to see the drama unfold up here. Two of my best friends up here are...a Packer, and a Viking. :D This could get interesting! You think of all the frustration Favre has caused the Vikings over the year...now the tables may have turned! ha
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
He will return, I wish he would just stay on his farm and stop the drama.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
i think he's going to sign with the vikings... and they will win the nfc north. can you image favre/peterson play action?? yep...
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Favre as a viking? HAhahaha. GO BEARS!!!!
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
He will be playing. No doubt about it. And I hope he continues playing. I like the guy. Now, Tom Brady, he should retire. :rolleye2:
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
yes he'll come back and yes he'll lead the league in interceptions and yes he'll "retire" and come back in early summer to another team
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
You said it best Josh, it's a soap opera. I'm not saying Favre wasn't an awesome quarterback. but to be quite honest, I'm sick to death of this guy. He has turned into nothing more than one distraction after another and if he goes to Minnesota, the distraction there will only further hinder that team's ability to perform at peak efficiency.
Favre just needs to go away and go away permanantly. By pulling the stunt he did in Green Bay, he showed where his loyalty was and it wasn't with the team and city that emulated and worshipped him more than any other player in Packer history. He's lost a TON of credibility with so many fans, myself included. I won't miss him or the drama he continues to bring to the sport. It's time the sport moves on without him. The Packers did, after all.

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Well he has told the Vikings, according to ESPN, that he is going to stay retired....
...I don't buy it..he just doesn't want to partake in any offseason practices.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
The guy was hurt at the end, 6 td passes in one game, 8-3 through 11 games, I don't think he did as bad as everyone says. His biggest mistake was playing hurt but again the guy is a gamer.

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
I heard the Bass are hitting hard right now in Missisippi, once he gets a few more wall mounts he will be ready to play.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
the poll didn't have my choice, DON'T CARE.another come back would futher diminish a great career, brett move on there's life after football.cheesehead spoken here.

Re: Will Brett Favre return?

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Amazingly, for someone who isn't going to come out of retirement again, Favre is sure doing an awful lot of conversing with the Vikings. Why would he send x-rays of his shoulder to the team if he didn't want to play? And of course the Vikings are denying they'd sign him if he did want to play for them...same old song and dance from last year and it's even older this year than it was last year. I think Motley Crue said it best, "Don't go way mad, just go away!"

According to his agent he didnt send x-rays, he also stated he would need to be physically and mentally prepared to play again which he is not. Either his agent doesn't need his cut, is covering something up, or has no communication with Favre. Either way, I hate Favre but he does have a badass beard.

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Well....just an update. I'm thinking he wants to play...for someone who hasn't missed a start forever, and avoids surgery when possible, I can't imagine he is visiting an orthopedic surgeon for fun. :P
http://www.jsonline.com/sports/45059207.html
Green Bay - A recent decision by Brett Favre could indicate the retired quarterback is closer to a comeback with the Minnesota Vikings.
Favre consulted with renowned orthopedic surgeon James Andrews about the former Green Bay Packer's partially torn biceps tendon, ESPN reported Thursday.
A source told the Journal Sentinel the meeting happened at Andrews' office in Pensacola, Fla.
ESPN, citing a source close to Favre, said Andrews and Favre talked about exercises that would accelerate the tendon tearing completely. That would likely allow Favre to play without pain or surgery.
But if the tendon fails to tear, it is uncertain whether Favre will undergo the relatively minor surgery it would take to make that happen. Favre might balk at the three- to six-week rehabilitation window for that surgery.
This much is certain: Favre is at least keeping his options open on a possible return.

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Ha....forgot about this thread until it got bumped.
...Favre's family reserving rooms in GB I think pretty much answers the question whether or not he is coming back. :)

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Favre should call it a day, dont get me wrong the guys a true legend.. but I wouldnt like to see him have a stinking season and be remembered for it.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?

Favre will continue to keep throwing

You didn't think he was going away that easily, did you?
While Brett Favre's public comments appeared to close the door on another flip-flop, his phone conversation with NFL Network's Steve Mariucci left a different impression.
Favre told Mariucci that he was retired, but he's going to keep throwing and continue to work out. (NFL Network's Scott Hanson relayed the news on television and his Twitter account.)
When Mariucci asked how Favre would feel about his decision Wednesday morning, Favre reportedly said, "I'm wondering that myself."
Hattiesburg's most famous resident is spending Tuesday night out with his daughter in an effort to get away from everything.
But it sure sounds like he will go back to torturing the NFL public with indecision in the morning.

Re: Will Brett Favre return?
Stick a Fork in him....... He's Done!:carouse:
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
he made the right decision...
as for vick, he will never be an nfl QB again, so unless minnesota thinks they need another running back or punt returner, i don't think they'll be looking that way.
-
Re: Will Brett Favre return?
he joined the vikes well im a vikes fanman this year is going to be fun :)
