    New GTP pvccages.com enclosure
I decided to go ahead and get my GTP an adult enclosure. I know it is a little premature, but after he about bit me in the face while I was trying to clean his 6 quart tub, I decided it was time. The cage is from PVCCages.com, and I could not be happier with it. It is a 2x2x2. He also seems pretty pleased. Once I put him in for the first time, he went right up to his perches. He has not struck at me once since putting him in. Let me know what you think.

just be sure he is ok with that size enclosure. sometimes they can go off feed due to being in such a large space. i just mine in the same sized enclosure and she is over a year and a half now. might be too big for it.

Thanks, I think that he will be alright. He does not seemed stressed out. I put him in his new caqe on Saturday. I tried to feed him on Sunday evening, and he did not eat. He did, on the other hand, seem very interested in the mouse. I think, hope, that he will eat this coming Sunday.

Thanks, I hope so too. I love my GTP, and love to be able to see him all the time. Another nice thing about this cage is that it is heated with a radiant heat panel (RHP), so I was able to put the enclosure in my room, as opposed to the heated snake room. The RHP heats the ambient temp in the cage, so can be kept in a cooler room.

If s/he decides not to eat, i suggest adding tons of additional leafy cover, maybe some live pothos as well. Jim makes pretty good cages, but to be honest im not to impressed. Anyway, im sure s/he will take to the new digs soon enough!

Thanks, the cage did come with the perches. There are two thick perches and one thinner one. They used to twist the perches, but don't anymore. I think the twisted ones look better, but the non-twisted ones are probably more comfortable for the snake.

It was very easy to put together. There are easy to follow instructions, and everything is labeled.

No problem. The cage was $375 shipped. That includes the cage, RHP, light, perches, and three silk leaves. The light and RHP are already installed on the top panel too.

I'm sure it would have. He didn't get me, but it was VERY close. :8:

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I think that I am going to add some more silk leaves at least, but may have to add some live plants too.

Like Judd said, more cover. That snake is a bit small for that cage, but more plants would fix it to be more secure for it. I tend to keep a tall vase with live photos in the back corner of my 2 foot cubes and often the chondo will take the vase as a perch rather than the pvc. Those perches are a little big for that animal. Smaller perches allow them to hold on easier when feeding. Anyway, good luck. Nice setup.

    Re: New GTP pvccages.com enclosure
Quick update - I ordered a 6 foot silk pothos vine for the cage, which gives quite a bit more cover. My GTP is doing great. He hides behind the pothos on the highest perch during the day, and as soon as the lights go out, he comes to the front perch and starts caudal luring. He is also eating with no issues. Thanks for everyone's comments.

I agree. I absolutely love my new cage. It is very easy to keep proper temps and humidity, and I love the large display.
