    My 1st hatchling
    this little one poped out on 04/29 and is finally crawling around. it still has the umbilical attached to. im no good at poping (i prefer to probe:D) so it is unsexed as of now.

    Hmmm, it might be a good idea to get some newer pics showing the cord clearly and send them to Tim ( muddoc ) for some of his advice - he always seems to have great advice in these situations.

    Have you been keeping it on wet paper towels? That helps them shed.

    My hatchling shed 7 days after hatching. Umbilical fell off probably 2 to 3 days after hatching.

    yes. the baby is on wet paper towels that i spray every other day. i kept it in the bator until last night. i put it in a tub in the rack. it holds humidity really well.

    Why in the bator for 2 weeks after hatching?

    And its in a 6qt correct? Back heat or belly heat?

    a bator has a stable temp and humitiy. i was going to leave it in there until it shed.

    rack is belly heat

    I think with the hatchling having a cool side now it should shed for you right away, just keep them damp. :gj:
