Well... I did it

Anyway, just to update - I had the LASIK done on Friday. As per their instructions, sleep for 5 or so hours...when I did, I woke up with almost perfect vision :O Soooo amazed.

I look around now and I see things so much more clear and sharper than I ever did with contacts or glasses.

The procedure was so quick...painless... the numbing drops were probably the worst part because they stung just a bit....but it was just a small sting....nothing bad at all.

The staff was awesome throughout the whole procedure. They told me every step they were doing and I barely felt a thing.

I will say that it did come with a hefty price tag. Fortunately, I was approved for the 24 months interest free financing and chose that route. But, the freedom from contacts and glasses makes it worth every bit. For me, those things were nothing short of a complete nightmare and I could not be happier at this point that I have it done.

If you're considering it, go for it.

I wouldn't recommend one of these "$250 per eye" places. Just like our snake hobby, pay the extra amount and go with a professional with a stellar reputation that you know you will get your money's worth with.

My contacts were at -4 and -4.75. The price depends on your prescription and mine came out to 2,500 per eye, after all kinds of discounts I found and got approved for.

Awesome, I'm glad your happy with the results! Pretty much everyone that I talk to who has had Lasik is psyched about it! I don't wear glasses, but it must be pretty amazing to walk in needing corrective eye wear and basically walk out free!

I had PRK done, I didn't qualify for LASIK. Pretty much the same procedure though. Too bad your not a union Carpenter. I got my eyes done for 50 bucks. Hands down the best thing I ever did. Congrats to you! Its such a relief not having to wear glasses or contacts isn't it?
