Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
Please tell me you flagged that ad and pointed out the inaccurate info in it.
Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
There were already 2 posts pointing out some of the inaccurate info. I didn't want to flag it and have it removed. I figured I should let the poor snake have a chance of getting a new home.

Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
Heat rocks?!?!?!?!?!?! Burn, burn, burn........bad bad bad.
Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
Intelligible.... Absolutley Intelligible.
Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
....................:O
That's all I can say.
Oh man, the things some people believe...especially about snakes. I've seen a few ads on the Denver CL that were just about as scary. And I've seen more than enough heat rocks offered with animals of all types. Major SIGH.

Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
why is it that everyone that wants to "rehome" their reptiles on cl never "has time for them" that excuse is getting old. and I guess they also didn't have time to so a quick search and find out that heat rocks are a NO NO. people amaze me sometimes:confused:
Re: Yet another crazy CL ad
the reality is they get bored with an impulse buy pet and are tired of paying money to feed it..
As for heat rocks, they sure seem like a good idea to anyone who has never heard of them before. After all, it's pretty common for people to think that all reptiles seek out warm rocks to bask on. "And they wouldn't sell it if it was bad for my pet, right?"
Everyone is subject to impulsive decisions, and everyone has done something without thoroughly researching or understanding the implications or resources necessary.

your right. I just wish that the pet stores would help to inform people and take the animals welfare in to account instead of making sure they have a full bank account.

They would need to know how to properly care for the reptiles themselves before they pass on the info ;).No matter how hard we try to inform them they only care about the money period
