OMG that is a first for me, I've got eggs
Well last night I saw my female buried in the substrate and I though “hmm she is probably copying my male now” (he always sleeps buried in the bedding), though this morning since she was back in her usual sleeping spot I decided to check where she was buried last night and sure enough I have eggs.

Daytona is beautiful, as well as Mr. Double P you have there.
You ought to get some super sexy babies out of that!

Congrats Deb! They are both lovely lizards but I'm just very partial to Daytona. She's stunning. Can't wait to see the babies.

Hey, I was curious, what type of substrate do you keep cresties on?
I'm not a fan of paper-towels for lizards/geckos. :[

I am not either my geckos are a small side project (My husband's pets actually ) and I have a big 40 gallons naturalistic tank setup for them in which I use Coconut fiber mixed with some potting soil for substrate.

Congrats! :gj:
Now the hard part is waiting for them to hatch! I just had my first ones of the year hatch out after 106 days. Ugh, that was a looooooong wait. I've had some hatch out around 60 days though. It's all about the temps of the room you have the eggs in.

I always hear mixed with potting soil, is there any reason? i've always just kept them on the fiber, never mixed, just curious, i'm hoping to get some more cresties again, i've got 2 reptariums just waiting, people dont like them they say they dont keep humidity, well that's why you Mist :D yes it's more work but who doesnt' check in on their crestids more than 3x a day? hehe
