    Repashy MRP
Has anyone purchased MRP from repashy lately?

I just re-upped on a nice sized bag of the stuff. First thing I noticed is that it had a very different smell than my previous stuff(from same place). It has an almost raspberry smell which is very different from the stuff I received before

All I know is that my cresties wont eat it. Its been a week and they haven't touched it.

ANy one have this problem or suggestions. I tried the whole dab on the nose bit and they seem very uninterested. not much poop either.

They are usually very good eaters, so I tend to worry

Yes, my most recent bag smells different than prior bags. This one seems more strawberry/rose than past bags which were banana. As long as your geckos are healthy and parasite free keep giving it to them on schedule and they should eventually take to it. A healthy crested will not starve itself.

I've noticed this as well but none of mine are reluctant to take it.

I think mine actually like this flavor better than the banana flavor. I have more empty and licked clean dishes after each feeding now. :)

Actually they did change it. I ordered some a while ago, and thought it smelled horrible when I opened the bag.

I contacted Matt @ pangea and he told me they kind of mixed a bunch of the flavors if I remember right.

My geckos took to it immediately and eat better than they ever have before they changed it.

I like the smell of the new mix a lot better, but then, I am really not a fan of bananas so that's probably why.

Yeah, Repashy changed the formula of his CGD. It now combines three core flavours if I'm not mistaken including banana, rose and something else. The majority of crestie owners I've talked to about it seem to report that their animals enjoy it far more than the previosu banana-only-flavoured version.

If they continue to refuse it, you can try switching to the 2-part system where you can customize your flavours. However, given a bit of time, I think they'll take to it. Change is hard for some geckos. ;)

    Thanks for the quick replies

its been over a week and I've been cleaning out dried up full dishes. I hand fed my big girl and she seemed to like it. My little girl refuses to eat it...she prob think if she waits long enough I'm just gonna throw in some crickets.

Shes not getting any dessert til she eats her dinner

almost done with week 2 of both of them not eating.

I got desperate and dropped some crickets into the food dish...My little one went right for it and got a cricket and a face full of food and proceeded to eat it. She let out a big Huff....implying she didn't like it I guess and didn't eat the rest of them

    I'm out of ideas

Purchase the two part diet instead if you have to, and get the banana flavoring since that is what the old complete diet was flavored with. Then if you want to switch them over to the complete diet start out with banana flavored two part diet and mix in a little of the complete diet, progressively mixing in more complete and less two part diet each time until they are switched.

Put a drop on their noses and let them lick it off so they will get a taste. I had to hand feed all my leachies for a few days to get them eating on their own. Dont worry they wont starve.

tried it...they are being very stubborn.

ever since I put crickets in the CDG itself...they wont eat crickets anymore.

I ordered the 2 part repashy diet in banana flavor and I hope this will do the trick cause I'm runnning out of ideas.
