One more new guy

Morelia Viridis arrived today. I held him for a quick second before letting him start settling in. This is from Jon Healy (and the pics are too) it was his hold back. 07 male from a jaya and a sorong type paring. He's not as blue as the pictures depict, but I'm still quite pleased. He seemed to be totally tame.

I have read a little about these guys. They are so pretty, but the things I read said they really aren't up for much handling. Is that true?

It really depends on the snake. some don't care, and others won't eat for days. They are usually a bit more holdable than you would expect.

your motions have to be very deliberate and pretty slow, but that should be a given.

Nice shots David. I hope my chondro will let me handle him one day. I have been putting gloves on and gently touching mine about once a week. He doesnt seem to like that to much though, he isnt stricking as much as when i first got him so i think he is getting use to me.

Will, get a hook and see how he is out of the cage. He eats in there so remember he might be cage defensive.
