First clutch!
Well,
After watching everyone else have all of the fun, we decided it was about time to get a clutch. So, I went to Walmart and bought a clutch of .... Just kidding. Our first clutch of eggs finally dropped. She did hold them until day 37, and I never saw the eggs get near the vent. Being that she was an 18 month old female, I thought she might have some problems passing the apparent large eggs. Well, she did it all on her own, but after I saw them, I know why she had problems. It was a smaller clutch, only three eggs, but they weighed 390 grams. Man those were big for a first timer. Enough of my yacking, here are the pics.
p.s. I thought I was done acking, but I know someone will ask. So, she was bred by our Pastel Yellow Belly (whom I thought was infertile). He bred 5 females last year, but none went. He is 3 years old, and finally proved his worthiness.

Re: First clutch!
Congrats Tim, I am at Day 32 with my female, it will be my first clutch and seems like it is taking ages to finally drop, but seeing that your female went 37 kinda eases my nerves a little. Congrats again, and I know that is the first of my clutches for you and Monica this season. :gj:

She normally looks like that. That is part of the reason we put her with a Yellow Belly. Maybe something crazy will come out.

Clutches are only available at my Walmart last time I checked, but I can never figure out how to get the UPC sticker off the egg, and it always messes them up, so I quit buying them there.

Thanks Heather. I can't complain much, as the Spider that Roro got from me yet hadn't produced yet up until this point. The Axanthic he got bred though. Good luck with that smokin' PastelYB you got too.

Thanks. As for the Pastel YB, he breeds great, I just couldn't get any eggs out of him.
Joe,
Thanks, and stay tuned. Our second clutch is due to be laid by Tabitha in about a week.

Re: First clutch!
LOL - I can't help but think about our conversation last week (is 1 egg a clutch?). Congrats - she's a smoking female too!

She was a bit over 1700 grams. I actually expected about5 eggs, but these turned out big, so I won't complain. I have had pretty good success over the years with 18 month old girls that are over 1600 grams. However, they usually lay five egg clutches, and the eggs usually average about 80 grams. So the babies are usually smaller. I think these babies will be near 100 grams each at hatching.
