BrownBack !!!
This is a really nice morph that Joe Compel has been working on for a while now. everytime i go to the whiteplains show. i talk to him everytime i see him on how this project has been going for him...and finally he has brought the Super form to the show... they are extremely beautiful ! here are a couple of pics. Hey Joe, i know u say they look Axanthic but i would disagree ! from pattern to coloration they are a morph all by themself. check out the spots around their nose, really nice...

Re: BrownBack !!!
cant wait for the july show see what else he has cooking up joe got me started with my first 2 bp

Re: BrownBack !!!
Yeah, I was talking to Joe about those. He seems to think that they will prove to be on the same allele as the cinnamon and red axanthics. The supers were definitely hot.

Re: BrownBack !!!
maybe its just me but that looks nothing like a axanthic, but much like a....brownback! yeeaa thats the word i was looking for. cant wait to see a brownback spider.

Re: BrownBack !!!
Its almost looks like a superstripe cinny.
I like the nose spots!
-
Re: BrownBack !!!
it looks exactly like a red axanthic, i'd lay money on the het form looking VERY like lace blackbacks (which do, incidentally, have washed oput almost 'brown' backs) aka het red axanthics.
Lovely animals though.

not sure where you're looking then.
Here's a corey wood line red axanthic. (from coreywoods.com)
http://www.coreywoods.com/RedAxanthic/RA08.jpg
obviously thats an older animal and has developed a lot more, i'm trying to find a decent hatchling picture but for the sake of argument you could just use the original picture posted in this thread. Both the het and the super form look the same as these "brownbacks".

It does look like a Red Axanthic...

Re: BrownBack !!!
Yeah, maybe a new line of red axanthics? Very pretty, and I like that the super is not a white snake (which is what has always appealed to me for red axanthics). Has he tried a het red to a brownback? It would be interesting to see what happens...
-
Re: BrownBack !!!
Well as a 15 year vetran of keeping and breeding snakes in general, it looks like a Red azanthic to me. Compare it to Corey Woods site and youll see how close they truly are!

I believe from talking to him at White Plains that he plans to try to work it into the het red and cinnamon/black pastel genes to see what type of combos are produced and to try and prove whether or not they are on the same allele.
