Weight Curious
Anybody else that has a baby green or yellow I would like to know your weight. Hopefully under a year old, I just want to compare it with my yellow.

Ouch man, that sucks. I don't like when my babies don't eat. My rufous does it to me, he only eats bi-weekly so I feed him like 3 pinkys.

Re: Weight Curious
He/she looks like it has some size on them. Your yellow is alot brighter then mine for some reason, not sure why and not that it matters because I love my girl. How much does it weigh?

Re: Weight Curious
It depends on her mood. She can go from that bright of yellow to alost darker than a green. She just cant make up her mind. Im hoping for the color of a yellow with the temperment/size of a green.

Mine has a great temperment, how is yours? Is she calm or nippy? She's big for a 10mo old, then again I hope mine gets that size when shes bigger, I think I got the smaller Yellow out of the group that Matt had. Then again pictures may make her seem larger then she is. 700 grams isn't bad, is that after feeding or after shes digested & pooped? I will weigh mine in a few weeks to see what she currently is again.

Re: Weight Curious
She is a complete sweetheart and I am not complaining. I have a slightly more agressive retic so I dont need any more "fun" giants.
She was weighed right before we fed her and she eats every other week.

She eats every other week? Why not weekly(curious)? I feed mine weekly.

Re: Weight Curious
Shes an odd girl. If I feed her every week she will eat for a couple weeks and then go on strike. When I feed her every other week she eats consistantly. She has good body weight and is definately growing so if she wants to eat every other week, Im fine with that.

Re: Weight Curious
Mine will eat whatever I put in the tank, doesn't matter what. Well unless it's my hand then she doesn't try to eat it.

Re: Weight Curious
Ya, mines like that with two week feedings. Like I said, if thats what she wants im not going to argure :D

Re: Weight Curious
Oh definately not. As long as she's eating.

Re: Weight Curious
Just weighed my yellow again. She's almost 8 months old, pushing 2 1/2 foot and she weighed in at 324 grams. That's with me feeding her once a week, and also after shes pooped twice.

Re: Weight Curious
I should get an updated length/weight/pic of my yellow for you.
She's 3 years old now, feeding about once every 3 weeks. Last meal was a chicken 2 weeks ago. She's in the 9 foot range, not getting longer lately but putting on the weight.
Very very tame like you guys have. Lives in an 8x4x2 with a large rubbermaid soaking tub. She likes to digest in there and soak maybe 1/2 of the rest of the time.

Re: Weight Curious
Yea, when I first got her she wouldn't eat the hopper, so I had to feed her fuzzys, which I think because of that she got a slow start, which after about 8-9 feedings she finally started taking hoppers, then adult mice. Now i've advanced the feeding a bit with every 6 days and I may step up to every 5 days for a few months.
