I got a Motorcycle!!! 250 Ninja

I'm so excited! I got to ride it last night after jumping through all the hoops of insurance and registration. I got a great deal on it!

It's a 98 Ninja Kawasaki with 4,600 miles, it's been lowered three inches and it's a blast to ride! I'm planing to get it painted, hopefully soon, it's going to be sparkly pink :D

Congrats on a sweet bike! I had a Ninja 500 and traded it in for a 2006 Honda CBR. I may actually go back to a Ninja though as I'm not that happy with the CBR. The Ninjas are great bikes and also VERY forgiving and fun to ride. Maintenance is also cheap for them as well. Just be safe on the road and don't go faster than your Guardian Angel can fly. ;)

I've always liked Ninja's because of the small size and look. The 2008 style is gorgeous!!!

My first motorcycle was a ninja 250. It was a blast to ride. I had it for a couple years in highschool. I've had about 10 different bikes now and my current one is a 2008 Buell 1125r.
Congrats on your new bike. Keep the rubber side down.

those are fun to ride! my buddy had one that his parents would let him ride back in highschool, but they let me ride it all the time.

Nice, I made my friend get a 250 so he wouldn't kill himself on it. I got him a killer deal on one too, it was a 2007 Ninja 250, with 3,915 miles on it, he paid $1,500.

I on the other hand have a Ninja 1200. It's a big bike too, very painful when I laid it down, but I should have it back soon(within the next 2 weeks) as it's getting painted & fixed and such.

If you have any questions about that bike just let me know, as i'm very familiar with them. Oh yea, love the pink on the helmet, lol. I would post my helmet pictures but i'm not sure if I would get in trouble or not, my helmet is customized after the umm hustler magazine.. If you google it. lol

I had a Honda Rebel 250 back in highschool that I drove 45 minutes back and forth to work during the summer along with when it was warm during school. I would LOVE to have a Ducati 666s or a Harley V-Rod Night Rod Edition though!

Sweet!!! My dad's got a YZF 1000 that he keeps telling me to get on :weirdface It's quite a bit bigger than my little 250 that I just learned to ride! Plus he's got the ghost flames on it.....imagine if I dumped his precious bike :O

No kidding! Lol, my mom is NOT happy that I have a bike! My dad keeps saying, she wears the gear, it's a small bike, and she's never wrecked a car, give her a chance!!! :rofl:

Yikes!!! That's exactly why I wanted a small bike, because I'm sure I'll lay it down one of these days whether I'm riding it or walking it! I wanted a bike that I could pick up on my own, or at least in your case, get it off my leg :D

You like my pink helmet?! My dad got it for me, it's a Scorpion and it has pink and silver butterflies all over it :P

Ninja 500R is what I have my eye on - but we'll see what comes up on Craigslist. I want a used bike for my first bike...i am quite sure I will lay it down and have some st00pid moments on it - so used is probably my best bet!

Everyone I've talked to says the 250 IS a great great bike to start on - but after 2-3 months, you begin to feel like it's just not enough. But, go with a 500 at the start and you will be happier for a lot longer.

BTW incase they didn't tell you, make sure you keep the chain lubed, and keep the oil changed, that is the most important thing about keeping a bike working great. Also bring your bike to the local shop and let them adjust the chain and check for tightness and all.

My dad is big into bikes, so he's helping me quite a bit. We actually had to take it apart last night and found that the ball bearing was bad. Apparently someone forgot to put a spacer on the back tire when the put it back together :mad: I should have it up and running again by Wednesday as long as the parts get here on time.

Cheapest place i've found to order oem parts is www.cyclepartsnation.com just put your year and stuff. That site should save you some money.

another ninja 250 rider!!!...yeah mine is an 07 that I got last year and I love it!....sure its a small bike but its fun!

I know 08's are the new body style, but I've found a few pictures of 07's with the new body style. Is yours the new or old body style?
