this is crucial, lets fight for our right to be pet owners!

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, and I do by no-way support the HR:669, but everybody posting a thread about it on the forums, in every topic is getting beyond annoying. There is a big red topic at the main page and on every other page about it, and they have Several topics where it belongs, we do not need a thread about it in every single topic. We all know how serious it is, and we are all doing everything we can.

Mods: Can we get some rules implied with everybody posting the same thread in every topic? I'm sure i'm not the only person that is getting kinda tired of seeing it everywheres I look, plus it serves a better purpose if it's all under one topic or all in one thread.

Might as well put a ban on the pictures forum too.. "Stop posting the same snake"

But seriously, I don't see the harm. They post because they care. Also, if you hover over the thread title you can get a preview of its contents (which i'm sure you know), so you could just avoid duplicate threads altogether.

Not trying to start trouble (sorry) just didn't see any harm here, it was with good intent.

It's not that I find it 'annoying'..

It's just that I find it clutter and disorganized..
I use the 'hot topics' area at the bottom of the main page.. when I see 'no HR 669' and the same exact thread in each one it's not exciting..

When someone has something else to say about said topic, then that's fine, but when it's the same thing.. I'm pretty sure mostly everyone knows.

I never said anything about harm. I just said it's really beginning to get out of hand, thats all. It seems to be from newer members, that may not be familiar with the site, so it's just a friendly tip, thats all.

It makes it hard when I click on the "new threads" part and get hammered with a dozen new threads all saying the same thing, or basically the same thing. It makes it hard wading through everything to find info pertinent to what I'm looking for.
I agree something needs to be done to curb the 25 new threads a day all saying what's already been stickied here for the past several weeks.

I tend to agree. there are some well constructed threads here already pertaining to this.

its getting a lil crowded with new threads pertaining ot this matter. the new threads being redundant, however kind and helpful the gesture may be.

being Canadian, none of this pertains to me nor can i help in the cause. so i tend to not take part in the discussion of this, however its getting hard to avoid here as of late.

things are getting a lil cluttered...

to be honest i am a new member, i just got my bp this week and i really like it, and for u to come on a thread and just tell people that its anoyying is not right, so stop crying! it will all be over after the hearing! i mean cant people express themselves freely?dont we all have a voice and the right to express themselves when and how they want to?

yes they can express them selves freely, but they can use the search button to join in on the conversation ratherthen starting one on the same topic for the 1000th time. no one is crying, its called forum etiquette, search first post later. It: A) keeps the forum less cluttered for every one, B) puts less of a work load on the staff who will probably move this as its in the wrong section as well. and c) yes, it stops other users who get a lil annoyed by seeing the same thing posted 100 times a day, and the staff from getting upset because they have to move things 100 times a day. and yes im annoyed, because this is the ball python section. This stuff should be posted in the site general sub forums.

see that BIG reg bar at the top of the forum page? yes thats pertaining to HR669, surely the members who know they have the opportunity to take action do by now. So please stop ramming it in our faces. and if you want to join in the topics already established for this topic then please do your more then welcome. And im sure your help in the actions against HR669 will be appreciated.

i cannot vote against HR669, so no this does not pertain to me.

and as far as im aware Canada has not written up any laws to modify our current exotic restrictions. not in my province anyhow.

i never said it couldn't effect my self or my hobby, just that there is nothing i can do in this matter. as its not an issue to my local laws and bylaws.

First of all, by your own admission, you're a "newbie" on this site. It would bode well for you to familiarize yourself with this forum and also learn to respect your fellow forum members. Your sarcasm and rants to OBJECTIVE feedback will only earn you less respect and less input when yuo are looking for it most. There is an insurmountable amount of knowledge to be had here by verified experts of these wonderful pets. By shooting off at the mouth, you are only depriving yourself of said knowledge.
All we are saying is, there are literally DOZENS of threads on this subject on practically every board on this forum. Utilizing and posting in an already existing thread practically acts like a new thread as it boosts said thread to the top of that particular board, hence more exposure. It basically comes down to courtesy and respect. As I like to say, "be the sponge." Learn the ropes, acquaint yourself with the great people here and you'll be much further ahead. Just some constructive criticism and advice for a guy who obviously has a lot of passion for his pet. Just don't resort to posts like this thinking you're going to get more results because you'll only alienate yourself from the members here.

Normally I really don't mind. If I see 25 threads pertaining to HR669 it makes me feel like there are LOTS of other people concerned and trying to help.
When one person posts 25 threads within a couple hours.. then yeah, it seems a bit excessive.
But hey, the vote is on thursday, so it's not like it'll take long before it's over(hopefully we'll all be cheering happily)

Your a new member, and like others have said, they have a search button, spend a few hours learning how to use it, it will save you some good. Next it's not a good idea to start with any of the senior members.
