just picked up a new girl

Just got this new female normal ( thanks to heathersherps )and wanted to show her off a bit because I think she is BEAUTIFUL.

In this pic she had me thinking she might have been on the way with some eggs the way she was in a perfect ball( never seen that in a snake that wasnt pregnant.

Because I doubted you had. That's why I asked. It was an odd response for you to say you had never seen a snake coiled that wasn't pregnant. While I know you haven't had any clutches, it made me ask, have you seen a pregnant girl before?

The way you worded it sounded odd, like perhaps you've (for starters) have seen many pregnant snakes, or for that matter, have seen only pregnant snakes.

Maybe what I should have asked was "How long have you kept ball pythons?" Although I know the answer to that question.

I have never had one of my own snakes that are gravid but I have seen gravid snakes from friends that have bp's and local breeders. Ok genius since you think your so bright when did I get my first bp?

Concerning a few months ago (2-12-09)? I'd say a couple of months ago, however, I am assuming since you are calling this subject out, you are going to say something along the lines like "Ha! I had my first BP when I was 8!"

To which I would say, then why all the trouble this last time around? Your past posting history is still at the forefront of my mind when I read posts from you, and I know that it is for others as well.

What your past posts have shown me is that you are still brand spanking new to BP's, so color me confused when you speak about only ever seeing something in gravid females, I have to question the validity of the statement.

Did I try to make him look bad, or was I asking a simply question that I wanted to know the answer to?

As for negativity, what phrases made you think I was being vindictive? Did I give you some sort of facial or vocal clues into any ulterior motives? I certainly didn't think so.

Is knowing the short history of a person posting, being met with something that sounds out of place not deserve questioning by inquiring minds?

It does seem to be all in the eye of the beholder now doesn't it?

Sometimes questions are just that. Questions. What you read between the lines cannot be controlled by me. It's your mind, and you decide to read it however you want.

Connie...whatever your intentions, your posts DO come across as condescending toward rocky88. He was posting a picture of a very nice snake he'd recently received that he was pleased with. Something we all do and encourage others to do. WHY in the world does such a post need to be turned into a third-degree interrogation about his experience? Why must every little sentence written be dissected and challenged? And if you ARE so intent on getting some precise answer about exactly what he meant by a few innocent words, why not send the question in a PM, rather than (apparently!) trying to make him look bad in public because no matter how he responds, it makes him look stupid because you'll continue to challenge everything he says? :irkd:

Rocky88...if you'd just ignore the initial irritant, then the thread wouldn't get all blown out of proportion and folks could continue to just enjoy your pretty new snake.

Beautiful girl. I am always a sucker for a nice normal. LOL I have a girl that is trying to make me crazy. She insists in laying like that and I think "GRAVID" then reality comes in and I saw nawww. Then I look at her again and I got through the entire thing again. I am 97.56% sure she is not pregnant but we can alway hope(even when we know it is futile). Call it practice for when they really gravid and you have to wait 150 years for them to lay and 1000 years for the eggs to hatch :D . Is there a possability of her being gravid? how big is she, was she paired with a male? Good luck with her.

No I don't think she could be gravid. She's too small, well at least I hope she isn't because she would most likely go eggbound. She is 800g. And thankyou everyone for the nice comments about her.
