I have everything ready except for the hides. I am leaving in a little bit to get those. My humidity is finally where I wanted it in the upper 60's.

Also be prepared to open the container at the door while Fed-Ex/UPS guy stands there. To make sure your new bp is still slithering and breathing.:gj:

Oh. That's a good idea. Do they arrive dead very often? I hope not. If my box looks beat up by fed-ex, I'm running inside and grabbing a baseball bat. My snakes are going to be the only ones getting a rough ride!!

The driver would probably not have been the rough handler.

Low night time temperatures are usually the culprit or defective heating pads. Also a rough ride could stress the snake out.
Its just always better to be safe than sorry.:snake:

I am excited for you  ! I know how the moment goes so fast, then there is the week of "no handle" :colbert: If you really love snakes, it does not matter how many you have. You want to hold and admire your newest member :D now! So be patient and I wish you and yours all the best....good feeding response....temperament....etc :gj:
Oh yeah, don't forget some pics :gallery:
Re: He really is going to be here tomorrow!
I found the coolest looking storage containers to make hides from!!! I don't think I will sleep tonight!!
Re: He really is going to be here tomorrow!
I know you are really excited, but you really need to get some sleep.
Guaranteed you wont get any tomorrow. :D
Re: He really is going to be here tomorrow!
Good Luck!@ I know how you feel. My first snake arrived 2 hours late. I was sweating bullets the whole time! But, you should be fine
Re: He really is going to be here tomorrow!
I just checked the tracking. he left Lafayette at 6:30 this morning says he will be here by 4:30. I am hoping sooner, I think he will have to go to the Alexandria FedEx office first, which drives me crazy because they will pass me on the way then have to double back! Grrrr LOL Maybe I can stand in my driveway and highjack fed ex
Re: He really is going to be here tomorrow!
wait till he goes on lunch break, then sneak in for the steal :)
Re: He really is going to be here tomorrow!
I am going to go out and put a sign. free donuts for fed ex drivers......

I have never heard of anyone checking the box while the FedEx / UPS driver is still there, and I don't see any reason too either. From my understanding, FedEx / UPS will not reimburse the seller for a dead animal. That is between the seller and buyer. I have heard of this with Delta Dash though, because Delta Dash will verify the animal is dead, and fill out a form to prove it.
BTW, grats to the OP on the new pickup.
