    My new Black Milk:)
I've been wanting a Black Milk for a while, so I picked this guy up today at the Manchester, NH show. He's really cool to handle...fast little suckers! He hatched out in Oct '08. Can't wait for the color change.

Thanks guys. I believe usually 8-9 months they really start darkening up. Guess I'll have to wait to find out for sure;)

I have had mine only a few months and they are starting to darken. Mine are so darned skittish though. Pick them up and its, wiggle and poop, wiggle and poop. Terrible. The female is worse than the male.

Of course I have not had him out much yet but he is actually really calm after like 30 seconds. I'll be hoping to avoid the poop! lol

There were some great looking Milks there. A buddy of mine set it up for the breeder to hold on to it and bring it to the show for me. He was sold out of Blacks when I got there, but had him waiting for me:) He had his feed and shed records which was nice since you don't always get that stuff at a show.

    Great addition.

I picked one up for free. The keeper was all crabby that her milk was getting dark. Had him for about 8 months, though he was just muddy, but then one day I realized.... "Hey... I think you're actually black now?"

They are crazy peeing machines. Handle him lots while he is young cause they get stinkier. Worst part, if he pees on you... you're supposed to keep hanging on to break him of it.

I never got that far in the therapy session. I shudder thinking back to it. :)

But you'll love the process, it is very cool to watch.

Congratulations! I'm sure we must have bumped into you there. But I didn't recognize you at all! I was with a little girl in a pink ruffly tank top and her hair up in a ponytail, plus two tall teenage boys in all black (obligatory), one with super super curly long hair, the other with short hair. One was begging for snakes. The other playing on his DS. Did ya see us? ;)

Anyhow, your new guy is beautiful. Have tons of fun. Fast snakes are FUN!!!

LOL, there were tons of people there.....I mean umm yeah...I saw you!;) It's cool when you can take the family to a show. I wanna take our youngest to the next one maybe since I think she will love the variety of animals.

LOL....where are those Honduran pics?......The little guy ate well for me today, so that's a good sign. My first milk so feeding time was kinda different. Never had a snake take the prey and truck it in reverse at warp speed under the bedding. Pretty cool actually.......now that's some horrible English;)

Congrats on getting the new guy to eat.

Once I get batteries for my camera and figure out how to keep him still I'll get some pics up. I'm excited to feed him, he is so fast just cruising his tub.
