Stupid Human Trick... pretending to be a seal with polar bears at feeding time
YouTube - Polar Bear Attacks Woman At Berlin Zoo

Silly human... before you feel bad for this foolio, she jumped an enclosure wall to go swimming with those fuzzy wuzzy bears at feeding time.

They say though that she was mentally disturbed though. At least that is what that news report says

Of course they say that. They ALWAYS say that to try and cover up the fact that regular people can actually be that stupid. Whenever things like that are done, they always blame it on mental instability. Big Sigh!

It's like the volunteer at the zoo I worked at wanting to 'hug the jaguar because it was so pretty and soft'. :O:rolleyes:
People think that any animal kept by humans is going to be just as tame and sweet as Rover back home. Those bars are there more for the protection of the public than the animals!

By the way this is not the first time something like this happened in our zoo, i guess if there was a a tank with white sharks, someone would have swam some lanes in there by now...:taz:

I doubt anyone sees a video like this and assumes the person is not racking crazy in the brains from sun up till sundown, as for my sympathies... sadly I cannot say I have much for this individual.

When you leave your child and spouse on the side to hop a fence to commit such a heinous act, you sorta lose the capacity to play the sympathy card.

Darwin's Law of Natural Selection. Shame they helped her out. The stupid shouldn't be allowed to breed and pass that on.

I lived in Alaska for a few years as a kid. There were two incidents at the zoo in Anchorage involving the pair of polar bears they kept.

The first incident did not recieve much media attention, because it involved minors who recieved MAJOR injuries. They wanted to go swimming one summer, none of them had a swimming pool, so they jumped the zoo fence late at night and checked out the polar bears' pool. They got mangled, I don't know if they all survived, but one certainly made the Darwin Awards by not being able to reproduce anymore.

The second incident DID recieve national attention. You'll even find video footage. The lady hopped the 3 foot wooden fence and got too close to the large iron bars to get a closeup photo of a "sleeping" polar bear. He reached through the iron bars and grabbed her foot. She was pulled free by other nearby visitors sustaining fairly minor lacerations(considering she was in the paws of a polar bear), but the bear made away with her red shoe. The bear carried the shoe around in its mouth, almost as if it were a trophy, prancing around the enclosure for some time. If a bear could ever have facial expressions that said "Look mommy! see what I did! I caught one I caught one!"...

The zoo for a time, and perhaps still, sold keychains of a polar bear with a red shoe in its mouth, with text saying "Binky's Catch And Release Club".
