    Potentials of the YB
So besides YB x YB making Ivories( I love the yellow dorsal line), what else can the YB do to other morphs??

How do you feel about YBs, and what is their special or signature traits that make them a morph of their own besides crating Ivories(that's cool)?? thanks

Well, aside from ivories, Ive seen very good examples of yb x pastel cross, woma x yb, yb x specter(superstripe), hypo yb (wondrin how hypo ivory would look like) and the ebony w/c is very mysterious to start with. I know there's alot more crosses available there, these morphs may be very subtle, but packs a big potential when crossed to other morphs. :)

The same reason why I picked up one last month.:)

What does YB do to a morph when crossed with it? Is it something that the Fires, pastels, or other brightening morphs don't do?

I love the Yellowbelly possibilities. Just looking at a few examples Im wondering why these snakes dont seem to hold as much value, considering the beautiful things they are capable of.

Personally I think Yellow belly/Mojaves are particularly nice.

YB Woma and Ivory Pastels are two of my absolute favorites.

I know that Deb has a pic of a stellar YB Woma that she may post.

I like yellowbelly enough to have brought a pair home . . . Maybe babies with YB in 'em next year.

To my eye, the YB/Pastel tends to be a deeper, more saturated color than the Fire/Pastel (Firefly). Both are beautiful animals, though!

I think that part of the reason Yellowbelly didn't keep as high a value as Fire may have something to do with the impression that a great many of them came in from Africa, and some confusion over what they could actually do. By themselves, they're just kind of a really pretty, high-yellow snake, a little different from a normal... They also can be difficult to capture well in a photograph - I looked at the profiles, and the KS ads, and thought "What's the big deal?" I looked at living animals at the local herp show, and thought "I want me some o' that!"

so their signature trait is high yellow? I really don't see anything extraordinary from pastels or fire really other than a bit in the patterns. Pastels and fires are higher colored actually. I've had a fire, and a Pastel and I saw couple os YBs the other day.

I see... YB is like a preference by a person when it comes to choosing a higher yellowish morph right?

For me, I'd choose the Pastels or Fires for that purpose instead. Like I would take the Super Pastel instead of YBpastel.

Maybe Im missing something about the YBs? Thinking of getting one at the same time
