    Re: Question!?
I'm sure most people on here if not everybody experienced will tell you once a week. What you consider big, is probably just healthy, pictures provided would be very helpful though, since I see you said you don't have a scale.

    Re: Question!?
Looks like she is going to shed soon. She doesn't look un-healthy or anything, looks to be in good health. As far as thats concerned, if you're worried what you can do is on every 5th or 6th meal, give her a smaller prey to let her clear her system good.

    Re: Question!?
Well if it's feeding day, I would just go ahead and skip this week, as she is in shed anyways.

    Re: Question!?
It's up to you, I wouldn't. I try not to bother my snakes while they're in shed as it stresses them out. It wouldn't cause any harm to not feed her. You can ask for a second opinion if you like, but I wouldn't.

    Re: Question!?
I offer mine food during shed. If she doesn't take it right away i remove it. I just have to remember her eyes are cloudy and it's difficult for her to see. She's never refused a meal either. I think if you're careful and watch closely she should be fine, but remember if the mouse bites her, she could become fearful of ever eating a mouse. She might go off food for awhile.

She looks about the same size as mine. :) Which is also an 08, and also in shed at the moment. Lol.

    Re: Question!?
Only reason I was saying not to offer, is because its good for them to fully clean their system every once in a while.

    Re: Question!?
It's really no big deal, all up to you, it wouldn't hurt to skip a meal, and it wouldn't hurt to feed him.

    Re: Question!?
Yeah. I think neal has a good point. I knew most snakes wouldn't eat in shed, but I never thought about it as not offering. It seems the positives of not feeding out way feeding. That's a good point Neal. :) i probably won't feed during the next shed. My snake only eats two live hoppers. Until I get her switched over to frozen, I don't like the idea of feeding anything bigger if she is less defensive.

    Re: Question!?
I'm saying its up to you. It's not going to hurt to miss one, but if you feel like he's hungry go ahead and feed him. It's really not a big issue, but it's just a little safer not to feed him :) I woudn't worry either way.

    Re: Question!?
Well I feed every 7 days... but when my little girl goes through shed she does not eat for about a month, so after she sheds i feed her twice in that week, then go back to 7 days. Just my to $0.02

    Re: Question!?
Reason I said what I did, is because in the wild they don't eat every single week, not to mention they can go months without eating. Plus if they're useto eating every week, skipping when they're in shedding gives them a little break and it increases the feeding response for the next feeding session.

    Re: Question!?
Personally, I will offer every week, regardless of shed or anything. I don't think it is necessary to "clean them out" or anything like that.

They are not in the wild, and we should not provide for them as if they are in the wild, but as if they are in captivity.
