My New SD tick!
Me and a buddy picked up a pair of CB 08' SD Retics from Travis Kubes.
These are the sweetest little ticks ever!
and great quality, and a great deal i highly recommend Travis, he is a really easy guy to work with.
Well here is my male.
(My buddy got the female)
He is nameless, i was thinking somthing "Death Metal"
like evil/brutal sounding...
any ideas? haha
i already named my Yellow Anaconda "Snuggles" so nothing cutesy.

Re: My New SD tick!
Question for the retic people...
A friend just gave me a retic, and of course when I get free stuff I always assume its garden variety.
Mine looks sorta like the snake above, but has orange eyes with black pupils.
So, what sort do I have?
Thanks,
BrandonsBalls

i think scale count...
im sure if andrew (CeraDigital) gets on here i bet he would know.
you could check out Constrictor forums, and monster snake forums, and post pics and ask, alot of people on there would know more than me.

Re: My New SD tick!
Brandon I would say that you got a mainland.
To me, I see less yellow in the dwarfs. Not sayin this is the best way to tell, but if I had to put money on it, I would go Mainland.
Nice score for free.

Cool. Retics are sort of fascinating to me, mostly because my collection is 95% ball pythons.

-
Re: My New SD tick!
How much was he? if you don't mind me asking. How big do super dwarfs get?
-
Re: My New SD tick!
I think you should call him Nathan Explosion! :D
very nice pick up, he's a beaut.

Re: My New SD tick!
retics just rock!
As for the name suggestion, how about Kratos (that dude from "God of War"?).
RE: the dwarf retic thingy:
you can tell by the scale count? THis I should learn/know more about. I once thought that you sorta have to pray that he's from specific locales...until I realized something odd about the retics native to my country.
My own 3yr old female retic is roughly 5 - 6 ft and is slightly thicker than my adult ball python male. She's fed regularly and her diet ranges from multiple mice, chicks, chicken heads, sparrows to rat pups and medium sized rats. She is a hearty eater and as of now, I think she's a dwarf coz of her size.
On the other hand, I've heard of native retics of the same age who are roughly 9 - 12 feet long.
