Crying Rant!!

I have been putting money aside VERY faithfully for about a year. A few bucks here, another few there. I've been saving for a pied pair and another albino and I finally got the money together!! I am just finishing up my monster rack and would have bought the snakes sometime next week.

My daughter called early this morning. She wrecked her car. Everyone is fine and the baby was not in the car (thank you Lord!), but she is on a very limited budget and cannot afford another car. With the baby, I feel she NEEDS a car otherwise I would have told her to take the bus :D

Soooooo my super trio of slithering dream is now a little toyota. :mad:

I don't know why I am feeling so sad about this. I'll just start saving again. It's not the end of the world and it could be worse....but.....POO!! :tears:

HA! She won't come in my house because of the snakes. :rolleyes: I keep telling her that I am giving my grandson his own collection for his 5th birthsay (teasing of course).

Maybe I'll have to hold her to that!

Thankfully i have only wrecked 1 car and that was hitting a deer.


my little brother on the otherhand has barrowed my car twice and totaled one of them and did 3k worth of damage to the other. He doesnt barrow my vehicles any more.

Make her pay you back in small payments. By the time you have the money saved again, you'll have DOUBLE the money.
It's only fair, she wrecked the car, she should pay you back.

Well at least this time you wont have to save as much because prices will be down and you can get twice as many snakes:oops:

The things we do for our children, I left my daughter my car when I came to fl, because she wrecked hers and has 2 littlle ones. I feel your rant :)

Kim, I think you're a great mom for stepping up to help her and the grandbabies out like this. What a blessing no one was hurt in the crash.

I always think nothing happens by chance. Isn't it wonderful really that you had the money tucked away for the snakes and were able to so quickly help her out. I don't know what your budget is like but mine can't always have that extra flex in it. Imagine if this had happened right after you'd bought the snakes and you might have felt so bad that you couldn't help your daughter. Really it's good timing isn't it (and again, a blessing that the only thing that was hurt was a very replaceable car).
