Thanks all! Any suggestions, comments, or questions?

I should start getting Gecko eggs in the next few weeks, and Ball Python eggs during the first or second week of April.

I am new to the Herp community, but websites is something I am not new to. So pardon me if I may, but I will try to give you a few ideas of what I think could be missing. Simply to just give you an opinion. I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here...or scales. haha I'm a comedian now too.

Ok. So your banner "Ultimate Herps" I noticed is just text over a picture. There are plenty image editing programs that allow you to have limitless creations.

Also, you normally want your first page really to wow people. I know you just made it, but adding a couple attractive pictures along with your text should help out. Kinda like the front page of a newspaper. You want an eye catcher.

I was impressed with the navigation ease. very user friendly and simple to the point. Alot of websites get way too complex with menus and navigations and sub pages BLAH you get lost. Your spot on with your cleanliness.

A good website, thanks for sharing. I will bookmark it to see what you have for sale soon!

    troy

EDIT: shoot me a PM if you ever get stumped working on your site. Or graphics, I could help make you a pretty nice banner or something. Just trying to lend a hand :)

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I really appreciate your feedback. Our web server is currently frozen for migration to a new server, so I can't make any changes to the site until later this month.

That's a great idea. The reason why we didn't do that initially was to reduce the load time of the page. (The image behind that is tiled). Since you mentioned it, I noticed that the text doesn't really have anti-aliasing. I'll probably change that when I can, so thanks for the suggestion.

My initial thought was to have the focal point be the picture of my Super Pastel Orange Ghost that is in the upper-right corner. I see what you mean, though, and that is something that I've thought about and totally agree with. I need to add something, but at the same time, I don't want to take away from the top of site picture. I just thought of a few idea that might work, so I'll see what I can come up with. What would you recommend to balance any pictures with the top of site picture?

Well here's a quick idea of what I meant. I am pressed for time and didn't "finish" but it should give you the layout idea about what I mean "kinda like a newspaper"
    http://tdietz87.webs.com/index.htm

First picture there could be of you and your wife (if married) or of whomever holding a snake on their shoulders, hand, etc. use your imagination these are just brainstorming tips. Also if you don't want there pictures to take too much attention away from content you could fade them. Give them 75% opacity etc.

I dunno if it's just me but the "links" and "contact" us buttons are off kilter.. they seem to be under the othre buttons and slightly covering them up.. I checked in 2 browsers and it's the same in both...but other than that looks good I like the grey tones it's light and it does navigate well..

What browser(s) are you using? Can you post a screenshot so I can see what exactly is going on? Thanks for your feedback!

What version of IE and Firefox are you using? They don't look like they are the current version.
