Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
I'm gonna send the guy an email just to see what he says.
Here is my email to him:
"Do you still have the animal? I don't have alot of experience but I do keep 2 ball pythons and a red tail boa. I have read caresheets saying they might get 7', what makes this one so special that it can get the size of a burmese and just not weight as much? Why is it so hard to sex it and why would you have to be paid to do it?"
Now lets see if he replies.

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
I'd be interested to see if you get a reply too. Now don't get me wrong here, I have family out there. I guess its more a question of "what's he smokin?"
Sorry if the moonshine comment offended anyone

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
no offense taken at all. I have taken a few shots of that crap, not fun. But either way after reading it again...its just too dumb...

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
Well here is his reply...lol...
[a] Sorry, yes, it's been adopted. [b] Burmese Pythons have reached lengths of just under 25 feet, and I never said Bloods get that large. Also, a "caresheet" is just something someone wrote- just because it exists as a "caresheet" does NOT mean anything written on it is correct (YOU can make a caresheet and have it printed up- it doesn't mean what you put on it is accurate). I've SEEN Blood Pythons that were ten feet long before, and I have owned many that were almost that long. Four to seven feet would be average adult lengths for short-tailed pythons. Ten feet or more would be a maximum. [c] Blood Pythons have incredibly short tails (which is why they're also called Short-tailed Pythons), and they are very strong. Many pythons violently resist probing, but Bloods are particularly bad about it, and their tales are too short to get a good, firm grip on, as well.

All I know is that I would hate to get tagged by a 10ft blood! LOL
The person who posted the ad seems like quite the genius.

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
That's what I said through my tears of laughter at reading his reply.

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
haha, craigslist has caused hilarity once again.
and yes, moonshine is still very popular. and apology accepted, 2k, I was all like wtf?
littlebpy- you can't take shots, you have to take sips... from a quart jar or larger. And it's not crap, it's the nectar of the gods as they say... just takes some getting used to.
ok, a lot of getting used to.

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
Never said it was crap, I drank some peach flavored awhile ago. It wasn't bad...not exactly something I would drink ever again though.

Re: "Up to 12' and 100 lbs"
from the care sheet on BP.net:
Quote:
Hatchlings approximately 12 - 16"+/-. Females average 4'- 6', males average 3' - 5' adult size. Maximum size is around 10 feet, although 8'+ specimens are considered large. Blood pythons are heavy, robust snakes that may exceed 40 pounds in weight as mature adults.
anyone ever see a blood 8 foot or longer??

Your problem is that you live in Tennessee, and you don't get this Carolina-quality goodness over there.
