    They're here!! they're here!!! **dances**
    Hi,

My sinaloan milksnakes arrived today.

They were smaller than I was expecting so had to skip quarantine (too big a gap round top of the tubs in there :( ).

But the pattern on the male is exactly the type I like - the red continues over almost all of his belly and the black and white bands are nice and thin. :gj:

The female ( while still a nice lookin gal ) has a black belly and an overall darker look.

The urge to peek in on them is almost overwhelming.

Oh they're a lovely pair, Derek, congrats! How big/old does she have to be to be bred to him?

    Hi,

Cheers folks - the male was out exploring this morning but ran back in when he saw me. :D

I'm not sure on weights for the female for breeding - the info I have found so far says they reach breeding weight in either their second or third year but irritatingly didn't give a figure.

I do see the usual sensible reccomendations to wait an extra year if they are only just large enough though, and I'm thinking that's probably the way to go anyway. :)

Much research remains to be done. :ninja:

I agree that male is super HOT!!! The girl is very nice too.... don't want her feelings to get hurt or you'll never hear the end of that. :giggle:

Congrats on the newest additions and their first feedings too. I love how easy they are at meal time. The food goes here...now.... done.

    Hi,

    Thank you.:)

According to an online currency convertor they were $85.81 each plus delivery so $221.74 all in for the pair. I really haven't seen them offered all that often so it seemed fair enough to me. :)

I just discovered someone relatively close to me who is also working with them but he has some hypoerythristic ones apparently.

There are morphs out there I had never heard of - too focused on ball pythons I suppose.

He did also give me the ballpark figure for a breeding weight for the female though - 250g.

And he is going to reccomend some good books for me as well. :gj:
