    codom cross breeding
has anyone known anyone to breed say a pastel female to multiple males (i.e. spider or cinny) and got both spider and cinny genes in the works?

i know you wont get both spider and cinny in the same offspring.

Yes, people have had clutches with multiple fathers. Also you are correct that you can't get both father's genetics in the same offspring.

Right now I'm breeding a male bee and YB to a female YB. I'm hoping for an ivory and a YB bumble bee, but it's a very long shot.

Here are a couple of links to posts. I know I've seen more but this is just what I found quickly. The first one the pics don't work any more unfortunately.

    Well,
Casey beat me to it. He linked to our clutch contest, in which we had over 10 males introduced to one female. The clutch was fathered by three different males. We are doing the contest again this year, and may have as many as 16-20 males introduced. Maybe we can get 4 sires. It's a new goal, and always a fun clutch.

That was a lot of fun, Tim. I can't wait to see what you do with it this year. I wish I had enough snakes to do a contest like that, but right now it wouldn't be very exciting. I'm usually pretty apethetic, but even I was happy for the kid who won.

My deepest apologies Casey (I didn't read your signature).

p.s. I do know some Casey's that are male. I hope I didn't offend too bad.

I'm playing 'Who Da Daddy' with most of my normal females this year. I've been breeding my Yellow belly, Lesser Platinum, Spider and Pastel to a lot of girls one after the other. It'll be interesting to see what happens, whether I get a pretty even split or if one sire is favored over the others.

I'm absolutely not offended! I've sort of gotten used to it with the internet and using an androgynous name. I did think the signature had taken care of it on this forum at least, but obviously not everyone reads those everytime (including me).

I'm playing that game too...no scientific reasons, just due to the fact that I have only a few morph males that I wanted to breed this year...and not enough females to form specific groups.

I do the multiple male co-dom pairings alot. Last year I had two double dad clutches. One was enchi and mojave, ended up with one of each. And the second was YB and Cinnamon, ended up with one of each.
A friend of mine did the double dad clutch with a pastel and spider to a female pastel and that lucky S.O.B ended up with one super pastel and one bumble bee.
